Fashion Police: Leighton Meester Loses It

We're concerned about Leighton Meester. We've always loved her as Gossip Girl's resident queen bee, Blair Waldorf, which makes it difficult for us to accept her as a pop star. But we know how it works with these actresses: If it's not a record deal, it'll be a clothing line or jewelry designing or perfume. So if Leighton wants to sing, fine. (Plus "Somebody to Love" is cheeky fun.)
What concerns us, though, is Leighton's attempt at a sexy image makeover to go along with the pop career. There was the "Somebody to Love" music video where she looked like she was trying way too hard to bring the sexy. And this photo (left) from December's GQ is more uncomfortable than titillating.
She showed more poor decision-making skills at last night's American Eagle flagship store opening in New York City. The evidence:
Leighton Meester Gets Us Hot and Bothered
She may not have a sex tape, but Leighton Meester's new "Somebody to Love" music video sure makes us wish the Gossip Girl star had one.
After all, the sight of the scantily dressed actress singing seductively into the camera, writhing around in the back of a limo and crawling on all fours in a hotel room is pretty freakin' hot.
Throw a little French in there to boot and, well, we haven't been this turned on since we heard Angelina Jolie talking in Russian.

Leighton Meester's Looking for "Somebody to Love"

Well, that shouldn't be too hard for everybody's favorite Gossip Girl gal.
Nevertheless, Leighton Meester is singing about the search for amore in her new tune "Somebody to Love," which debuted Tuesday morning on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM show.
"I really wanted to make something completely different than anything that's on the radio right now," Leighton told Ryan. "I feel like it's really dancey and fun, but still laid-back, relaxed and moody and sexy."
Also featuring Robin Thicke, the track is the first single off Leighton's upcoming album, which she hopes will be out by the end of the year.

What's a desperate show to do when it's getting less-than-stellar ratings? Add tons of attention-grabbing crap into the mix to make you watch, of course!
Gossip Girl is only in its third season, but it's slowly but surely jumping the proverbial shark. First, by tapping Lady Gaga to appear on the CW drama as herself ('cause celeb cameos always blend in so well with the storyline), and now announcing there's gonna be a threesome on the show involving three main castmembers.
Hey, we're not ones to look a gift threesome in the mouth—we just won't approve till we know which three characters it's gonna be. Chace Crawford would bland up any sex scene, and Taylor Momsen is still too underage to think about in sexual scenarios. But Leighton Meester, Ed Westwick and guest star Hilary Duff doin' the nasty? No complaints here!
In fact, we can think of another ménage à trois we'd love to see on our TV sets...

September's Harper's Bazaar, that's where.
"[The tape] is not real," the Gossip Girl star tells the fashion mag. "So it makes me sort of sad. It's unfortunate that it got carried as far as it did. I definitely understand the nature of people better now and that the mere allegation of something like that could be headline news. People think it's real because somebody says it is."
Moving on, Bazaar also had this totally cool idea to digitally age the 23-year-old to her fifties for the "Fabulous At Any Age" issue, because that's way easier than actually finding real older people. Ahh! Reverse Photoshop, how clever. The results...
Rise 'n' Shine: Michael Jackson's Ghost Debuts
• The Tupac-style "M.J. Lives" conspiracy theorists are already hard at work, so why shouldn't the ghost hunters? In the above clip from the tour of Neverland Ranch on Larry King Live, Michael Jackson's ghost makes its television debut. Either that, or someone walks by a window to cast that shadow (so doubtful). You be the judge!

Leighton Meester's celebrity hyphenation begins now. Today, she transitions from mere actress to actress-music-video goddess.
OK, to be technically correct, "Good Girls Go Bad" is Cobra Starship's new music video, not Leighton's video, proper, but it does feature Leighton Meester and that's close enough. This song, BTW, was cowritten by American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi. Seems like catchy pop goodness to us, but what do we know?
Rise 'n' Shine: Chuck and Blair Have a Sex Tape?!

• This rumor's dirty, even for Gossip Girl. Supposedly Blair Waldorf herself, Leighton Meester, has a sex tape being shopped around. Word is it's from a few years ago (so probably doesn't involve BF Sebastian Stan) and involves some sort of foot fetish stuff. Sounds like this will require some major Chuck Bass scheming to squash. (UPDATE: The video has turned up on a site called Celeb-Hotline.)
