D-Day Arrives for Christie Brinkley
Somehow, "messy" just doesn't seem to cover it.
The divorce trial of Christie Brinkley and her soon-to-be-ex fourth husband is shaping up to be ugly as both parties appear in a Long Island courtroom this morning for the first day of proceedings, including a supporting turn by the other woman.
Guy Ritchie in NYC to Snatch Time With the Family
What's a Guy to do when Madonna is making headlines for her trips to the lawyer's office rather than the recording studio?
Hop the next flight, of course.
A source tells E! News that Guy Ritchie touched down in New York Monday so he can spend as much time with his wife and their brood as possible before she heads out on her next world tour.
"He has been planning for a long time to spend all of July in New York," the source said. "It's not a last-ditch effort to save the marriage."
Britney Moving for Kids, "Quiet"
What Britney Spears really needs is a little peace and quiet. At least, according to a court commissioner.
In court papers filed by Spears' conservatorship earlier this month, approved by Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz on June 17 and obtained by E! News today, Goetz gives the go-ahead for the singer to sell her Summit home to the highest bidder—because the place is a hindrance to Spears' parenting skills.
In requesting the house swap, Spears & Co. argued that the mother of two was in need of a "lower density, more quiet and less trafficked neighborhood, that is also more accessible to parks and recreation areas."
Rob Lowe Employees Offer Up Lots of Nanny Dirt
Apparently not all of Rob and Sheryl Lowe's employees have soured on the couple.
One of the former nannies who they sued for breach of contract and is now suing them for sexual harassment wasn't exactly a model of innocence herself, according to several declarations filed Thursday in Santa Barbara Superior Court, including one provided by the plaintiff's sister.
James Maclear, a chef who worked for the family in 2005 while they were living in London (and is not to be confused with the chef whom the Lowes previously sued), stated in court documents obtained by TMZ.com that the babysitter in question, Jessica Gibson, "had an overly flirtatious manner and appeared to be somewhat of a sexual predator."
Update
Lindsay Lohan's Secret Sister?
Michael Lohan's been logging some quality father-daughter time with Lindsay this week, hanging on the set of her new flick, Labor Pains.
Little did he know he'd end the week starring in his own potential blockbuster, let's call it Paternity Pains, featuring a girl who may be Lindsay's secret sister.
The elder Lohan is shooting down a claim that he fathered a girl with another woman while he was separated from ex-wife Dina Lohan.

K-Fed Attorney: Mediation With Brit "Positive" Step
Kevin Federline wants Britney Spears to once again play a major role in their children's lives. Just not a bigger role than his.
K-Fed's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, spoke exclusively to E! News in the wake of Thursday's all-day mediation session, in which both sides were seeking to hash out a custody agreement in advance of an August trial.
"Kevin is seeking to maintain the sole legal and physical custody that he presently has," Kaplan said. "There's nothing magical about 50-50. There's nothing magical about 60-40. What's magical is that whatever order is in place, it's the order that best suits the best interest of the children."
Paris Turns Hospital Room Into a Hilton
Paris Hilton is building on her famous name.
Childrens Hospital Los Angeles announced Thursday that the hotel heiress has made an "extremely generous" donation toward the construction of a new 460,000 square-foot medical tower at the downtown facility.
Hospital officials didn't specify the amount Hilton gave, but said her contribution will trick out a double-patient room in the Childrens Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases, which is slated to open in 2010.
"I am so happy and fortunate to announce my support for Childrens Hospital Los Angeles," Hilton said in a statement. "The children I have met through my [involvement] at Childrens Hospital have truly touched my heart."
Kanye West Mom's Doc Without License, Again
It remains to be seen whether the man who operated on Kanye West's mom ever operates again.
Dr. Jan Adams' license to practice medicine expired yesterday—not because of patient-related issues or his DUI troubles (which include an arrest earlier today on suspicion of driving under the influence), but because he has yet to cough up child support that he owes his ex, a spokesman for the Medical Board of California confirmed to E! News.
Kimora's Kids Get Big Phat Allowance
Russell Simmons is footing the bill to make sure it's not just his ex-wife who's living life in the fab lane.
E! News has obtained court documents filed by Kimora Lee Simmons which stipulate that her hip-hop mogul ex pay a minimum of $40,000 per month in child support for daughters Ming Lee and Aoki Lee.
The breakdown equals out to $20,000 per girl and is required until each reaches 19 and a half years old—keeping Simmons paying for Ming, 8, through 2019 and Aoki, 5, through 2022.
Stone Wants Share in Son's Custody
Sharon Stone is following in the footsteps of an unlikely forebear—namely, Britney Spears—and seeking a little more court-approved mother-son time.
E! News has obtained court papers filed by the China-angering actress in which she seeks a modified custody order for 7-year-old son Roan, whom she adopted with ex-hubby Philip Bronstein back in 2000.
Bronstein, the Komodo dragon-angering former editor of the San Francisco Chronicle, split from Stone in 2004 and currently retains primary custody of the boy.

Larry Birkhead Clarifies Comments
Larry Birkhead would like to set the record straight.
Birkhead spoke to E! News in an exclusive phone interview Monday afternoon to clarify quotes he gave to the Associated Press about why he bought lingerie worn by Anna Nicole Smith on Saturday night at an auction as a keepsake for his 1-year-old daughter.
Charlie Sorry for Dropping an N-Bomb on Denise
Charlie Sheen is sorry for slurring his speech. For the most part.
Although the N-bomb, multiple F-words and one of the nastier misogynist terms Sheen used in two voicemails left for Denise Richards in April 2005 were fully documented as part of their divorce proceedings, recently revealed audio recordings of the messages prompted the sitcom star to apologize for blowing his top in such a vile manner.
"I deeply apologize by my choice of words to all I have obviously offended, especially to Tony Todd, an African American, who was my best man at my first two weddings," Sheen said in a statement released Wednesday by his publicist.
