Talk about a quickie.

Miley Cyrus admits she didn't have to work too hard for her cameo in the upcoming Sex and the City movie sequel.

"I shot for like an hour and a half, and I was done," Cyrus told Ryan Seacrest this morning on his KIIS-FM morning radio show. "It was like the best job I'd ever been on."

Cyrus appears as herself in a scene in which she and Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) wear the same dress to a red carpet event.

"It was a total dream come true," the Hannah Montana star gushed. "It was so cool. Working with Kim was a really cool. And Sarah Jessica Parker was like the nicest person in the world."

Call it the Love Boat.

I just got word that John Mayer welcomed passengers onto the Mayercraft cruise ship today dressed as Capt. Stubing. Comedian James Smith appeared as Isaac the bartender.

As I told you earlier today, the Carnival Splendor cruise ship is full of 3,000 Mayer fans. The four-day trip will take them to Mexico and then back to San Pedro, Calif. John performs for them every night.

The way John Mayer uses Twitter, you’d think he would have nothing but high praise for the social networking phenomenon.

But no, the singer actually has some harsh words for the latest in social messaging.

"It’s inherently silly and it’s inherently dumb," the singer told me last night at the One Splendid Evening benefit for the VH1 Save the Music Foundation aboard the Carnival Splendor cruise ship in San Pedro, Calif. "If you really think that Twitter is the pathway to spiritual enlightenment, well...It’s one step away from sending pictures of your poop."

That's the rumor I'm hearing. A source says the pair's on-again, off-again relationship may have ended sometime within the last week, when Aniston returned from her overseas Marley & Me junket.

"He broke up with her when she got back from her European tour," the source said.

Aniston's rep did not immediately comment. Mayer's rep declined to comment on the singer's personal life.
