Madonna Celebrates A-Rod (and the Rest of the Yankees, Too)
Just because Madonna isn't dating A-Rod doesn't mean she can't still be a Yankees fan.
A source tells me that the Queen of Pop celebrated the Bronx Bombers' World Series win on Saturday (a day after the big NYC parade) with boyfriend Jesus Luz, Jerry Seinfeld and even one of Yankees owner George Steinbrenner's sons.
The group did some wining and dining at posh restaurant A Voce overlooking Central Park...
Joke's On Them: Seinfeld, Rock Honor Cosby
Last week, comedy's heavyweights donned their finest embarrassing dad sweaters, broke out the bubbly—and the clip reel—and paid tribute to Bill Cosby, who was on the receiving end of the exceedingly prestigious 12th annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.
On hand to present the longtime-coming award (the family-friendly Cos had twice turned down the honor in objection to the 1998 profanity-laced inaugural ceremony honoring Richard Pryor) were Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, former Cosby Show costars Phylicia Rashad and Malcolm-Jamal Warner and fellow comedian and longtime pal Dick Gregory.
The erstwhile Huxtable's 45-year career was retold via show highlights, memories and, of course, jokes.
When Seinfeld and Rock took the stage together at the Kennedy Center, they recounted the 72-year-old's recent show at the Apollo Theater. Or at least they would have if they hadn't been so sartorially distracted.
Sneak Peeks: Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Yada Yada Yada
The seventh season of Curb Your Enthusiasm is looking pret-ty, pret-ty good.
With the Seinfeld cast reuniting for the first time in more than a decade, Curb is sure to draw a record number of viewers. "It will be our most popular season," Jeff Garlin told us at the HBO premiere. "I know that."
Most important of all, though? The Blacks are back! But for how long? Will Loretta's cancer diagnosis ruin Larry's hopes of another reunion—with his ex, Cheryl? No matter what happens, Leon isn't leaving anytime soon. J.B. Smoove assured us, "Leon knows a good thing when he sees it. He'll be hanging around a little bit."

Seinfelds' Veggie Tales End Happily...for Now
Turns out there is still room in the mashed-veggies market for Jessica Seinfeld.
A judge on Thursday threw out a lawsuit brought by the author of a for-kids cookbook who accused Jerry's wife of ripping off her handy-dandy ideas for getting young ones to eat their vegetables and other oft-rejected healthy stuff.
Saying that the two books, Jessica's Deceptively Delicious: Secrets to Getting Your Kids Eating Good Food and plaintiff Missy Chase Lapine's The Sneaky Chef: Simple Strategies for Hiding Healthy Foods in Kids' Favorite Meals, are "very different," U.S. District Court Judge Laura Swain ruled that Lapine had neither a trademark nor copyright-infringement case against the Seinfelds.
Most notably, Jessica Seinfeld's book is "bright and cheerful, full of different colors and various patterns," while Lapine's is "a dry, rather text-heavy work."
Swain opted not to decide whether Jerry Seinfeld is reliably hilarious or actually malicious, saying Lapine's defamation complaint against the comedian over jokes he made about her on Late Show With David Letterman is a matter for a state court to decide.
Despite that bit of uncertainty, all of the above sounds pretty appetizing to the Seinfelds so far.
Jerry Seinfeld to Yuk Up Jay Leno's Night
He's got the killer performers, a troupe of funny folks and a start date. What's Jay Leno missing for his new nighttime talker?
Oh, right! Actual people to talk to!
Lucky for him, Jerry Seinfeld has signed on to be the first guest on The Jay Leno Show when it makes its bow on NBC on Sept. 14.
They'll probably gab on about the comedy king reuniting with the cast of Seinfeld for Curb Your Enthusiasm, his upcoming NBC series, The Marriage Ref, and yadda yadda yadda.
The whole evening is shaping up to be quite the yukfest. Wonder what episode two will be like...

Larry David Spills Seinfeld Reunion Secrets
It's been months since the news broke that the cast of Seinfeld was reuniting on Curb Your Enthusiasm. However, no plot details were released until executive producer and star Larry David sat down with reporters at the Television Critics Association summer press tour earlier today.
Finally we know how Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards reunite for the first time in more than 11 years. It's basically a show within a show, where the cast is actually doing a reunion episode in the Curb universe.
We'll let Larry explain...
Rise 'n' Shine: Jon Gosselin Wants a Chick With Symmetrical Hair
• Jon Gosselin (or, rather, his doppelganger) is just looking for someone to sit on the other side of his couch and not care that he possibly started the rumors about Kate Gosselin hooking up with that bodyguard.
• Rihanna has (negative) feelings for Jamie Foxx.
• Jerry Seinfeld "loves the creative process of making commercials." Right.
• Lady Gaga is totally broke because she's spent every penny she's earned on those totally broke outfits she wears.
• Keira Knightley is a hungry fairy princess.
• Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld finally gives his Heidi Klum bashing a rest, but moves on to the equally adorable Amélie star Audrey Tautou.
• Dear Orlando Bloom: As if we didn't already know, but you are one lucky dude. (Check out these hot shots of his GF Miranda Kerr.) Love, Rise 'n' Shine

Tom Cruise's New Mission: To Blow Stuff Up Again
Didn't see this coming.
Tom Cruise and J.J. Abrams have signed on with Paramount Pictures to produce the fourth installment of Mission: Impossible, according to Variety.
As you may recall, couch-jumping and other circumstances surrounding the previous film in the series helped precipitate a very public rift between Cruise and Viacom's Sumner Redstone, which ended the megastar's 14-year-long relationship with Paramount.
At the time Redstone told the Wall Street Journal, "[Cruise]'s recent conduct has not been acceptable to Paramount."
But that's so 2006. These days Redstone is sounding highly complimentary about the celeb, Abrams is hot off Paramount's Star Trek and Cruise remains one of the most bankable stars on the planet.
So when you put it that way, this seems totally possible. Look for it in 2011.
• Reese Witherspoon is looking to make a drug comedy. No, not like Half-Baked. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Pharm Girl is an "aspirational comedy" by the Bad Santa screenwriters about a woman and the pharmaceutical industry, which does make it sound a bit like Half-Baked.
• Jerry Seinfeld wants to help your relationship. Variety reports the comedian has made a deal to create and distribute multiple localized versions of a reality series called The Marriage Ref, in which couples put their problems in the hands of people who truly understand emotional pain: comedians and celebrities. Let the healing begin.
Jerry Seinfeld Cracks on Marriage and Voice Mail
Jerry Seinfeld is opening up about his marriage.
OK, not exactly.
But he was crackin' some funny ones last night when he performed a 20-minute set at the Palm Pre phone launch event at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood.

Jerry Seinfeld: What's the Deal With the Reunion?
Jerry Seinfeld always brings the funny.
The E! News cameras caught up with the comedian as he came out of the Grill on the Alley in Beverly Hills Wednesday afternoon.
“I don’t think my publicist set this up,” joked Seinfeld while chewing on a toothpick.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus: Seinfeld Reunion Seems Just Like Old Times
The Seinfeld reunion has begun.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus says that she and her famous costars—Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards—began shooting their multiple-episode appearance on Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm last month.
"It was really fun to get together with everybody," Louis-Dreyfus told me today. "Frankly, it was as if we never left."
And there’s more fun to come. "We're shooting again this month and in May," she said. "We have a lot more work to do."
No surprise, everyone has been sworn to secrecy...
Seinfeld Stars Reunite With Enthusiasm
Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer are preparing to meet their maker.
Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and a probably pretty grateful Michael Richards will show up for a multi-episode arc on Seinfeld creator Larry David's Curb Your Enthusiasm this season.
The funnymen-and-woman will play Curb-style versions of themselves (aka more neurotic and self-absorbed) on the critically acclaimed life-reflects-art series, which is returning to HBO for a 10-week seventh season.
This will be Richards' first time on the show, while the rest of the quirky quartet have previous cameos—but it will be the first time Richards, Louis-Dreyfus, Alexander and Seinfeld have shared a soundstage since their Seinfeld incarnations were sent up the river in 1998.
