Big-Ticket Buy for Kate, Big-Time Move for Jon?
Is Jon Gosselin movin' on up to the swank side?
The besieged reality-TV dad visited Trump Place on the Upper West Side of Manhattan Thursday afternoon, where, according to Gawker, he checked out an available unit on the eighth floor.
This possible search for a bachelor pad—which would rent for about $3,200 a month—comes just as word got out that Monday's episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 may very well feature the couple's seemingly inevitable divorce announcement.
A rep for Trump Sales and Leasing could not be reached for comment, but a source confirmed to E! News that there is an apartment up for grabs on the eighth floor of the building.
Meanwhile, Kate Gosselin isn't pulling the purse strings too tight, either. On Thursday, she drove away from a Reading, Pa., Toyota dealership in a brand-new Land Cruiser V8, as evidenced by the paparazzi pics that serve as surrogate documenter when the TLC cameras aren't around.
No word on whether she leased or bought the SUV, but that model starts at $64,755.

911 Call Shows Exodus Tyson's Mom "Did All She Could"
A transcript of the 911 call made when Mike Tyson's 4-year-old daughter was discovered unconscious in the family's home indicates the child's mom "did all she could when this tragic accident occurred," police tell E! News.
"She did what experts suggest," Phoenix Police Sgt. Andy Hill said. "She called 911 immediately. She began CPR and continued until police and firefighters arrived. The Phoenix Fire Department 911 operator did an outstanding job on this call, assisting the mother until help arrived on scene."
Exodus, Tyson's daughter with Sol Xochitl, was pronounced dead Tuesday morning, a day after she apparently got her head caught in a cord hanging from a treadmill and choked.
Per the 911 transcript, Xochitl first told the dispatcher her baby had choked from the treadmill.
Update
Mike Tyson's Daughter Pronounced Dead
The already tragic news did not get any better for Mike Tyson's family.
Arizona police have confirmed to E! News that the former heavyweight champ's 4-year-old daughter, Exodus Tyson, has died, a day after accidentally hanging herself on a piece of exercise equipment at the family home.
"I was just advised by investigators that Exodus Tyson was pronounced deceased at 11:45 a.m. today at the hospital," said Sgt. Andy Hill of the Phoenix Police Department. "Our sympathies go out to the family. I cannot release any other information."
"There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus," the family said in a statement. "We ask you now to please respect our need at this very difficult time for privacy to grieve and try to help each other heal."
E! News has learned that the Exodus' mother is 34-year-old Sol Xochitl of Phoenix. She and Tyson no longer live together but are still a couple, according to neighbor Dinka Radic.
Britney Going Pond-Hopping With Her Boys
The Circus is going international—and so are Britney Spears' sons!
Kevin Federline's longtime attorney tells E! News that K-Fed and his ex-wife will be extending their current custody arrangement when Spears' blockbuster tour crosses the Atlantic.
Meaning, Federline will also be making the trek to Europe so that Spears can continue to be close to sons Sean and Jayden—and the boys' dad will be around to take care of them when mommy is onstage.
"They worked out an arrangement to facilitate her being able to go on tour without having to sacrifice her abiltity to see the kids," attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan says. "She'll go on tour, she'll go to the venues, but Kevin will be there with the kids. There won't be any change in the custody schedule in Europe or anywhere she is on tour."
Rihanna Goes Back to School, Dances With N.E.R.D.
Rihanna found herself caught in the middle last weekend. Of the country, that is.
E! News has confirmed that students who went to see N.E.R.D. on campus at the University of Missouri-Kansas City last Saturday were treated to an unexpected sideshow—an impromptu dance performance by Rihanna.
"It was a complete surprise!" Ashley Lang, president of the UMKC's Activity and Program Council, tells E! News exclusively. "I was backstage with her and she was totally friendly, said hello to everyone, and was dancing backstage by herself in high spirits."
"We did not know she was arriving until about five minutes before she did," Lang added.
Rihanna, clad in blue jeans, a cropped tee and a hoodie and accompanied by a group of girlfriends, hung out with N.E.R.D. frontman Pharrell Williams in what looked to be a "totally friendly manner," according to Lang.
