Lutfi Lawyer: Money's Not Behind Britney Spears Lawsuit

Britney Spears, Sam Lutfi Fame Pictures

Sam Lutfi ain't broke.

At least, that's what his lawyer Bryan Freedman says.

The attorney tells E! News any suggestion that Lutfi is suing former pal Britney Spears and her family to pay off his debts and prevent foreclosure on his home is false.

“It’s nonsense,” Freedman says. “The homeowners association misplaced two checks. The checks were paid. This is just more lies and misrepresentation about a guy who is a great, caring human being.”

Well, that's not entirely true...

Police Issue Arrest Warrant in Ruffalo Shooting

A person of interest in the shooting of Mark Ruffalo's brother is now officially a wanted woman.

Beverly Hills police tell E! News that an arrest warrant has been issued for Shaha Adham in connection to the mysterious at-home Dec. 8 attack that left Scott Ruffalo in intensive care with a bullet wound to the head.

“I can confirm that a warrant has been issued,” says Lt. Tony Lee. “Detectives developed more leads in the case, and Shaha Adham has been converted from a person of interest to a suspect."

Despite a TMZ report that Adham, one of two "persons of interest" in the case announced last week, is linked to Saudi Arabian royalty, Lee says, “As far as a Saudi Arabian connection, we have no idea.”

As for Adham’s whereabouts Lee says “We have no idea where she is.”

Scott Ruffalo, 39, remains hospitalized in a fight for his life.

D.A. Weighing Locklear's Fate; Witness Accounts Conflict

Heather Locklear, Mugshot Santa Barbara Police Department

For the time being, Heather Locklear is in the clear.

With the police investigation over, the Santa Barbara District Attorney Office is reviewing the evidence, but "no charges have been filed yet" for the actress' weekend DUI bust, Deputy District Attorney Lee Carter tells E! News.

The former Melrose Place predator was arrested last Saturday on suspicion of driving under the influence. The California Highway Patrol was alerted by what the incident report calls a "concerned citizen," who, it turns out, is a former Us Weekly staffer who subsequently sold photos of the arrest. In the 911 call, the tipster claims Locklear seemed tipsy. (Listen to the 911 call.)

However, a new witness has stepped forward and tells E! News exclusively that Locklear "did not seem to be drunk at all."
