Even though Christina Applegate didn't win anything at the SAG Awards Sunday night, she gets props for rocking the red carpet. I got all the details on her textured, tousled hairstyle, created by a Frédéric Fekkai stylist, so you can re-create her look for a night out of your own.
Fekkai products used:
- Coiff Shape and Set Mist
- Coiff Nonchalant
- Sheer Hold hairspray
First, apply the Coiff Shape and Set Mist throughout hair, from roots to ends, and dry with blow-dryer using your hands. Using a one-inch curling iron, take about two-inch sections and alternate back and forth with the iron to create an uneven texture to the hair. You want it to look messy and undone, so don't worry if it's not perfect. Then apply a dime size of Coiff Nonchalant to the hair for hold and pliability before putting it up.
To complete the look, hand rake the hair into a low side ponytail, securing it with an elastic at the nape of the neck. Make sure it's loose and undone. Then twist the ponytail and secure with hair pins. Finish with Sheer Hold hairspray to keep the hair pliable but in place. Ta-da!
