The fiery-haired singer was up for three BET Awards last night and scored as Best Female R&B Artist, but she opted out of attending the show even though she was in town.
What were her plans instead of hitting the event, and why'd she end up hanging at the same place as Chris Brown anyway?
The singer first headed to eat at one of her favorite restaurants, Giorgio Baldi, in Beverly Hills.
Then she hit the Playhouse nightclub in Hollywood, where DJ Khaled and J-Cole were hosting an awards after party.
Maybe RiRi's psychic and somehow knew that there'd be an awkward moment when she was accidentally announced as a winner of an award that was really won by her ex Chris Brown, who took home 6 awards total?
Or perhaps she didn't want to be there if he was performing and she wasn't?
But the two ran into each other anyway last night, when they both reportedly attended the same soiree at Playhouse.
Her rep didn't return our request for comment on why she was in MIA from the BETs.
In attendance besides Chris Brown was Drake, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj and Willow and Jaden Smith.
