If you're sorry that Zac Efron lopped off his lustrous locks to play a veteran in The Lucky One, you're not alone.

Zefron himself admits that he's bummed about his buzz cut.

"Always!" he told me at last night's Audi pre-Golden Globes soiree when I asked if he missed his old 'do, ruefully rubbing his shorn head. "It was kind of my thing."

His hair was quite the hot topic at the bash, as another celebrity at the party couldn't keep her hands off it...

Kathy Griffin couldn't stop touching the actor's head as they chatted.

Zac spent most of the party hanging with Brittany Snow, but don't worry, Zanessa fans. Brittany and Vanessa Hudgens are BFF, so this was likely a totally platonic hangout.

And if you want to see more of Zac, you're in luck. He told me that he is indeed attending (and presenting!) at the Golden Globes next Sunday.

"Someone asked me if I was going and I said no," he explained. "Then my publicist jumped in and said I actually am presenting, so I am!"

No word on whether he's bringing Vanessa, as his rep brushed off reporters who tried to ask about him and V on the press line. But if their PDA-packed outing over the weekend at Eden is any indication, we could totally see it happening.

Zac also hung briefly with Glee guy Matthew Morrison, who came to Cecconi's straight from the Lakers game. Fellow Globe nominee Jane Lynch was also the Audi and J. Mendel bash, as was True Blood's Alexander Skarsgård, Sofia Vergara, Zoe Saldana, Julianne Hough and Sophia Bush.

As for anyone wondering why Vanessa wasn't by Zac's side like she was on Friday, we hear she was filming in North Carolina yesterday.
