Chace Crawford Does First Press Since Pot Bust

Oh, the irony.

Chace Crawford walked the red carpet last night for his new movie, Twelve—doing interviews for the very first time since he was arrested for pot possession in June to promote his role in the flick, where he just happens to play a drug dealer.

While we're guessing any q's about his pot bust weren't welcome, he did say that last summer was better to him than this one...

Last year, Chace landed the cover of People mag when he was chosen the Hottest Bachelor of Summer 2009, but he joked that he's bummed he didn't score the title again is time.

"I didn't win the National Title two years in a row," he told E! News. "I practiced; I went to training camp...it didn't work out so well. Summer 2009 was definitely better."

(Cover shots are always preferrable to mugshots, right?)

Either way, Chace is keeping busy with work. He's filming the newest season of Gossip Girl, with Katie Cassidy guest starring as a love interest, along with a movie called Peace, Love and Misunderstanding.

Hopefully his court date (which hasn't been set yet) won't interfere with his work schedule.
