Things are getting serious between Kim Kardashian and Dallas Cowboys footballer Miles Austin.

He's already met her family and gotten the seal of approval from her sisters, and just last night, the happy couple made their public debut on the L.A. party circuit.

After dining at Crustacean in Beverly Hills, they headed to Serena Williams' pre-ESPY Awards party at her Bel-Air house, where they even posed for pics together.

And since things are heating up, we've prepped a helpful primer on the top five things you need to know about Kim's new man...

Jersey Boy: Was Kim on the look out for a situation when she first met Miles through friends at an L.A. restaurant? The 26-year-old was born in Summit, N.J. and stayed in the Garden State through college, when he attended Monmouth University. Fist pump!

Camera Shy: Last year, his dad spoke of "Miles mania" in New Jersey, calling the attention "out of control": "People want pictures and autographs," he said. "I take people's numbers down and addresses and I politely say when we can get them we'll get them." Now that he's dating a high-profile reality star, Miles' fame will only continue to rise. But unlike Kim's last boyfriend, Reggie Bush, a source says Miles won't be appearing on E!'s Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Happy Returns: The handsome athlete was first dubbed "Miles Smiles" as a kid, according to his mom, because he "was always happy-go-lucky." Dallas tight end Martellus Bennett says "that's his best asset, so he tries to smile as much as he can." We're sure dating Kim has given him a reason to grin even more.

Punishing Player: Although Miles played basketball and competed in track and field in high school, he wasn't sold on football. He actually didn't even play until his junior year of high school and that was only to repay the football coach for not giving him a detention when he was late to class.

I'll Drink to That: Remember that episode where Kim tried drinking with her sisters in Miami and hated it? It seems she's acquired a taste for libations, thanks to Miles. The two were spotted drinking margaritas at Casa Vega and last night, their group downed Patrón shots at dinner.

Cheers to this new relationship!
