So we all saw Jennifer Aniston present an award with costar Gerard Butler at Sunday night's Golden Globes, but she was mysteriously absent from all the glitzy afterparties at the Beverly Hilton.

Turns out the party Jen and Gerry attended wasn't at the hotel where all the awards action went down...it was actually at the Sunset Tower Hotel, one of Jen's favorite hangs.

CAA was hosting their exclusive bash, which brought out Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, Penélope Cruz, Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Mariah Carey, in addition to Jen and Gerard.

So the two Bounty costars were together at the party, but were they actually together?

Nah.

"Jen was with a group of her friends," a source tells me of her entourage. And Gerry actually hit the InStyle/WB party at the Hilton earlier in the night solo.

One cute couple that wasn't hiding their affection? Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem.

"They were really sweet together," a partygoer tells E! of the twosome.

And let the baby bump rumors continue. According to our source, Penélope wasn't drinking.
