Too bad Doug didn't get the memo.
After hearing the breakup news from Team Paris, we contacted Doug earlier this afternoon, and he insisted, "No, that's not true. Everything is OK between us."
Oops.
Word of the split surprised us as much as Doug, coming just three days after Paris and Doug told E! News how much they were looking forward to their six-month anniversary.
The duo was first spotted together at the Super Bowl and quickly became serious.
At a party they attended together in April, Paris even dropped the M-word.
Then last month, their parents met in New York when Paris was honored at the Fragrance Foundation's FiFi awards.
Doug also taped appearances in the second season of her MTV show My New BFF and accompanied her to Cannes.
Paris is headed to Dubai this week to tape another version of her show. Doug was slated to be a producer on the show as well.
(Awkward... Maybe he and original Paris BFF Brittany Flickinger can share stories over a few drinks.)
Last night Doug was spotted having sushi at Nobu with Brody Jenner and Frankie Delgado, while Paris taped an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live and threw a viewing party with her girlfriends afterward.
