Mom-to-be Nicole Richie laughed off rumors that she's having twins at a benefit for UNICEF's Tap Project and the Richie-Madden Foundation last night.
"I have twins!" she told reporters, as she gestured to Joel and Benji Madden, who were by her side at the Sony Cierge-sponsored event. "People popped out of me yesterday."
One multiple-birth story she didn't want to address? Octomom. Nic, casual and chic in a flowing, tie-dyed dress, had no comment on new mother of eight Nadya Suleman.
However, the parents-to-be were happy to dish why children's charities are so important to them...
"We love kids," Joel said. "As Good Charlotte, we've always been involved in children's organizations, and Nicole's always been doing work for kids. When we started our foundation, it was all about kids."
Lauren Conrad also came to the charity event at MyHouse and seemed in good spirits despite the news that her clothing line is temporarily on hold. She hung with Nicole and danced most of the evening. Nic's former stylist Rachel Zoe was also on hand to lend her support.
The night raised $83,000 for the organization with a charity auction that even included a date with Benji in Vegas.
