Patricia Arquette is excited about many things these days.

She's excited that CBS picked up Medium, that her husband's show Hung is doing well and that she soon gets to live out a childhood dream by being in a Night of the Living Dead-themed Halloween episode.

"I love that movie," she told reporters at CBS' Television Critics Association day. "When I was a teenager, it was kind of like when you start breaking away from the establishment and your parents. It's like you find these jewels after school...in the hot California sun, watching this weird movie. I love a good monster movie; here I am in a monster show. I'm the monster, but it's exciting."

She chatted up reporters after the panel yesterday to dish about that and then some...

Not that we thought they were going anywhere, but today at the Television Critics Association press tour, HBO officially announced that True Blood and Entourage have been picked up for another season. The news of an early Hung pickup, however, was a wee bit surprising as that show is still finding its legs and is getting mixed reviews from the critics.

"One of the reasons we brought [True Blood] back as soon as we did was it always felt like a summer show. The hope and expectation is to try to bring it back next summer as well," Michael Lombardo, HBO's president of programming, told the crowd.

Now that we know Sookie and the gang will continue to glamour us for another season, what about your other HBO faves, such as Big Love, Flight of the Conchords, The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency and Eastbound & Down?

MTV Hangs Hopes on High-School Hung

Nicky Hilton, David Katzenberg Jacob Andrzejczak/Getty Images

Going to the well-endowed well once again, MTV is reportedly riffing on HBO's adult dramedy Hung for the teen crowd.

Created by Survivor producer (and Nicky Hilton date) David Katzenberg, Hard Times is the story of a high-schooler humiliated in front of the whole school in an act of pubic, er, public nudity, who suddenly becomes popular after the revelation that he's the boy with something extra. Obviously, this is not Tom Hanks' Big, but the supposed former music network is hoping their big man on campus comes up huge in the ratings.

We're just hoping for a pay-per-view crossover episode with The Hills.
