Major Death Revealed: Heroes Is Killing Off Adrian Pasdar
As I have been teasing for weeks, Heroes is killing off a major character later this season.
The death is a huge twist for the show, so I didn't want to ruin the surprise for you, but now that another outlet has leaked the secret, it's time for me to reveal the truth:
Adrian Pasdar's Nathan Petrelli is the major character death happening on Heroes this season, and no, he wasn't told he was getting fired, he learned about it from a script.
But what about reports from fellow Heroes castmembers that the Petrelli brothers were definitely safe?
Spoiler Chat: Who's Crossing Over Next on Grey's and Private Practice?
Could Izzie (Katherine Heigl) be running away to L.A. to hang with Addison (Kate Walsh)?
Or maybe it's McSteamy (Eric Dane) who's heading down south—what? We mean to Cali!—with his former flame?
Anything is possible, 'cause it looks as though more Grey's Anatomy crossovers are in the works, and sources are rumbling about a possible third show in the mix. (Shhh…)
Meanwhile, we have exclusive news for you Bones fans, courtesy of David Boreanaz: It's official! Emily's sis Zooey Deschanel hits the set for the next episode.

Time to Kiss Off Heroes?
How'd that sapphic smooch look on Heroes? What was Southland's Nielsen crime? And why is Fringe falling out of the mainstream?
The answers—and more questions—in the latest TV ratings quiz:
1. What did the Claire-Gretchen kiss do for Heroes' ratings? Not much. The audience for last night's show was up, but barely, from last week's show, per preliminary Nielsen estimates. Overall, the show is still running well behind ABC, CBS and Fox's 8 p.m. Monday fare.
2. Is this the end for the show? Just for a major character, apparently. We'll see how that moves the needle. If at all.
Hayden Costar: More Girl-on-Girl Kissing, Please!
Kissing Hayden Panettiere on Heroes didn't come as a complete shock to Madeline Zima.
"I had an inkling," Zima told us yesterday at Hollywood Life's Hollywood Style Awards at the Armand Hammer Museum in L.A. "I did always play my character a little bit with some kind of secret—whether it was that or something else still remains to be seen."
So what was it like locking lips with Claire-Bear on the episode airing tonight? Mostly business as usual...
Hayden Panettiere's Lesbian Kiss Is Really a Threesome
Yep, Hayden Panettiere locks lips with a girl this coming Monday on Heroes. Claire Bennet and her roommate Gretchen (Californication's Madeline Zima) share a semiromantic first kiss, but what you don't know about their sapphic drama is that there's a third party involved. Read on to find out if college-girl Claire is getting kinky, or if there is something more significant going on...

Kelly in Ft. Myers, Fla.: I've heard that our favorite Dollhouse may be in danger. Does it help the rating if people watch on iTunes or Hulu? I always try to do my best.
Update
Look! Down on the Ground! It's Heroes!
What's wrong with Heroes? What's right with House? And how did The Big Bang Theory wind up with Neil Patrick Harris' Emmy bounce?
The answers—and more questions—in the latest TV ratings quiz:
1. How are the odds looking for a fifth season of Heroes? Not so great, after last night's fourth-season premiere ran last among the Big Four networks, with just 6 million viewers per preliminary Nielsen estimates. The show, already on thin ice with NBC, further botched its cause by helping bring Jay Leno down to his lowest numbers since the comic's 10 p.m. premiere.
2. Why is House in a better place than House? Dr. House, as we learned in Monday's sixth-season opener, is regrouping at a psychiatric hospital. Fox's House is living large with 16.5 million premiere-night viewers, up almost 2 million from last fall.
Zachary Quinto: Gunning for Some Laughs
Zachary Quinto gives a whole new meaning to the ol' pickup line, "Is that a gun in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?"
In a new Funny or Die video, Hostage: A Love Story, the Heroes and Star Trek star plays a pistol-packing burglar who ends up falling in love with a woman (Rachael Harris) he takes captive during a botched robbery.
As we first reported, Quinto had a real-life run-in with police when he was shooting the short at L.A.'s Kiss My Bundt Bakery...

Lubbock will be a recurring character on the series, which starts back on Sept. 21.
Megan in Washington, D.C.: Did I hear a rumor that there might be more fresh faces on Bones?
You know how the lab has a rotating door of "squints," er, assistants? Well, David Boreanaz, who, don't forget is also a producer on Bones, recently told us that they are thinking (just thinking) of having a revolving door on his end of the game as well.
Here's what he had to say...
Heroes Spoilerpalooza: Triangles, Carnivals and Death
The premiere of Heroes is only a few short weeks away, and since the finale left us with so many questions, we thought we'd turn to the cast to get some answers, especially since season three and four's storylines are so similar. "It feels like one long run-on season," Hayden Panettiere tells us.
So who's the new band of characters coming from the carnival? Who's dying? Whose love story causes its star to shrug coyly at us? And what's the scoop on what's likely to be the hottest triangle we've ever seen on television? We have your answers...

Heroes Star Zachary Quinto's Run-In With the Cops
If Zachary Quinto isn't careful he'll wind up on America's Most Wanted one day.
The Star Trek star found himself answering to cops recently while filming an upcoming Funny or Die video at L.A. bakery Kiss My Bundt.
In the comedy bit, he plays a pistol-wielding robber.
"When someone saw Zach hold up a real gun and scream, 'This is a goddamn hold up!' they called the police," Bundt owner Chrysta Wilson tells us.
And get this, the cops were called a second time during another take of the same scene.
Wilson said she's not surprised the make-believe drama appeared to be real...
Why Do Shows Like Lost Reveal Spoilers?
Why do shows like Lost reveal spoilers? Is it not in the best interest of networks to keep me in the dark like I want to be?
—MarieDevers, via Twitter
What spoilers? You mean the strong hint that Dominic Monaghan will return to Lost next season? Easy. That kind of deal could never stay under the Dharma hatch lid until January, show insiders tell me, so of course the network is going to seize control of the situation and handle it in its own way.
Or are you talking about that funky chicken commercial Lost producers revealed at Comic-Con? That's not a spoiler. That's a funky chicken commercial. One that won't even appear during the upcoming season.
As for the "why" behind said chicken commercial...
