Victoria Beckham: I Never Wanted Paula Abdul's Idol Job
Even if Victoria Beckham was a two-time guest judge for American Idol, she insists she had no intention of trying to replace Paula Abdul on a full-time basis.
"Ellen [DeGeneres] is going to be fantastic," Beckham, 35, told me last night while promoting her latest dress collection during Fashion's Night Out at New York's Bergdorf Goodman.
"For me, I just love the fact that I could dip in and dip out. It was great," she said. "I saw so much talent, and to be a part of making someone's dream come true was exciting for me."
But how did Beckham handle having to crush someone's dream? Keep reading to find out, plus she reveals what hot soccer hubby David…smells like!

Rebecca Romijn: "We're Not Interested in Overpopulating This World!"
Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell have no intention of becoming the next Brangelina.
The two have already decided that their 8-month-old twins, Dolly and Charlie, are enough kids for them.
"I'm pretty sure that this is it," Romijn told me yesterday. "We feel like the world was made for pairs. Four feels like the perfect number."
"Also, we're not interested in overpopulating this world," she added. "So we feel like we don't want to leave more than we are when we leave this planet."
Exclusive! Emeril's Green Days
Emeril Lagasse is going green.
I was the first to tell you last week that the celebrity chef is developing a show for Planet Green, the Discovery Channel’s new eco-lifestyle television network launching in June.
Now it's official. Confirmation came through just a few minutes ago.
A daily series debuting in July, Emeril Green will be shot entirely on location in Whole Foods Markets around the country. “I try a little harder every day to think greener and be respectful of our environment and our resources," Lagasse said.
Lagasse currently hosts Essence of Emeril for the Food Network and is a food correspondent for Good Morning America.
Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia announced last Tuesday it was acquiring the rights to the Lagasse franchise, except for his restaurant business and foundation-related projects.
Lagasse’s deal with Stewart is reportedly worth $50 million, but it could rise to $70 million depending on how his brand performs under the domestic diva’s umbrella.
