ER: The Stars Say Their Goodbyes
Feelings of melancholy, nostalgia and pride filled the red carpet as the stars of ER waxed poetic on the series finale of everyone's most beloved medical drama. We caught up with Noah Wyle, John Stamos, Linda Cardellini and executive producer John Wells at the show's finale party in Los Angeles to get their finale thoughts on a darned good run.
Check out these video clips to hear what scoopage John gave exclusively to E! about his new project, how Noah felt about all that medical jargon and more...

George Clooney's ER Visit: A Very Special Episode?
Dr. Ross has returned!
George Clooney is back in scrubs on the set of ER, and, despite the skeptics who said there was no way the superduperstar would ever revisit his old County haunts, a pic of the actor on set is proof you can see with your very own eyes.
To top it all off, we've got some incoming info on upcoming ER eps. Could Clooney be guesting in one of them?
ER: The Latest on Clooney and the "Battle" Over Stamos
Good news for those of you dying to know if George Clooney will actually come back to ER as rumored: You are not alone. The cast is just as clueless as we are.
"I'd love to know!" Linda Cardellini tells us. "They don't tell us anything about the real story of what's going on, and I think we'll be the last to know."
OK, but then how do you explain Noah Wyle telling TV Guide that George (and also Eriq La Salle) will be back before the series ends this May? "Oh, wow," Linda says. "If he did, I bet he's in trouble."
Insiders say ER has only six episodes left to shoot, so if Clooney is going to appear, the deal needs to close soon. NBC still has no comment on the Clooney rumors; however, John Stamos did tell Extra today that Clooney was the reason he did ER in the first place: "I was at lunch. I wasn't at lunch with him, but we were sitting and he said, ‘You should go and do ER.' " So maybe Stamos can get Clooney back? Anyone know where George is lunching?
Meanwhile, Linda hints at a big throwdown that just happened on set...

ER: Shane West Returns...To Score With Neela?
It's the moment many of you ER fans have been waiting for: Shane West is coming back to County General tonight, and sources tell us exclusively that he's bringing along all his hotness with him.
Shane returns just in time for a nice little love triangle with the international kids: British bombshell Neela (Parminder Nagra)and hot Aussie Simon (David Lyons). And even though his character, Ray Barnett, is missing a few limbs now, that won't stop him from getting in some action.
We hit the set to get a pulse on the lovelines in store...
Sources Confirm: An ER Star Is Leaving
Warning: If you are in the Chicago area and need medical help, do not, I repeat, do not, step into County General Hospital.
Helicopters fall on people. Psychopaths shoot and stab people. Things go kablooey. And sources tell me that ER fourteenth season finale will be no different.
(And if you don't want to know anything at all about what's coming up on ER, stop reading right now.)
Multiple insiders connected to the show confirm that there will be an explosion in the May 15 season finale, and someone we have known and loved on ER for quite some time will leave the series. For good. In a body bag.
A rep at NBC says they cannot discuss upcoming storylines.
Who is it? Well, you won't find out until the fall's season 15 premiere, titled "Life After Death." (I know, the wait will kill us, right?!) But I can tell you that it is one of the regulars pictured in the photo above. And as of the May 15 season finale, the pool of contenders will be narrowed to two.
So who do you think is leaving? Linda Cardellini, Scott Grimes, Parminder Nagra, Mekhi Phifer, Maura Tierney?
[Note that I did not name John Stamos as one of the options, 'cause they wouldn't have renewed the series for its 15th season without his signing on...Would they? Yes, I am a big fan and a smidge biased, but still, from where I'm sitting he's been a shining beacon for the past two seasons.]
Obviously, I don't want to ruin the cliffhanger, but that doesn't stop me from encouraging you to guess on who's gonna go. Make your pick in the poll below, argue your case in the comments and check back Monday in the chat for another clue...
In the meantime, know this: It's gonna be tragic. It's gonna be good. So set your DVR for May 15 now.
Could Clooney Return to ER?
Now that NBC's ER has been officially renewed for a landmark 15th and final season, fans have been asking if that little-known Leatherheads guy—I think his name is George Clooney, maybe you've heard of him?—will return for the final bow.
Well, the chances of that happening depend on whom you ask.
Just last week, executive producer John Wells had a conference call with reporters and told the press: "I love George. He’s a friend of mine. [But] I would doubt very much that he would come back to the show."
However, at least one of ER's stars—Scott Grimes—said he thinks there's an "85 percent chance" Clooney will return, based on a recent serendipitous run-in with the cast that apparently went on for hours.
ER Boss: Neela-Ray Reunion? Not This Season...
Bad news, Reela fans. I just got off the phone with ER boss John Wells, and the rumors that Shane West would be returning to the show for two episodes this season are definitely not true. But there's hope!
John says Shane's character, double-amputee Dr. Ray Barnett, is absolutely a candidate to return next season! John says: "I love Shane, and we would love to have him come back for some episodes. What we're doing now is beginning the planning for the final season, which will go on the air next September. And as part of that, we'll be contacting pretty much everybody, [inviting them] to come back and do a little spin."
Unfortunately, all that is in the works for season 15, and Shane won't appear in any of the remaining six episodes of season 14. Says John: "We haven't set anybody that you don't already know about [for the remainder of this season]."
Is there any chance John remains unaware of the intense online fandom devoted to Ray's relationship with Parminder Nagra's character, Neela Rasgotra? "You know...I'm on my third or fourth email address, so that would be my way of answering that question." (Hee!)

ER Hits the Big 3-0-0!
You know, they say the first 300 episodes are always the hardest—so for ER, it should be smooth sailing from here on out.
The medical drama, which also happens to be the most Emmy-nominated series ever, premiered in 1994 and some 14 years later is still a fixture of Thursday-night TV.
Sustaining such quality over such a long period of time (300 eps at 44 minutes each is an astonishing 13,200 minutes!) is the televisual equivalent of building the Colossus of Rhodes, not to mention a testament to the talent and devotion of the cast, crew and producers over the years. So, in honor of the milestone ep 300—called "300 Patients" because it features Archie Morris' quixotic quest to treat , yes, 300 patients in one day—the Paley Center for Media threw the show a little celebratory hootenanny.
And here's what you ER lovahs need to know...
