DMX Literally Lands in Jail
DMX is making a point of getting to know the bars everywhere he goes.
The beleaguered rapper was arrested for the third time in two weeks Wednesday when he landed in Phoenix and deplaned right into the cold embrace of an outstanding warrant issued when he, among other things, missed a court hearing.
DMX was flying in from Florida, where he was busted twice last week—on June 23 for driving with an invalid license and then four days later for allegedly trying to purchase marijuana and cocaine from an undercover cop.
Tatum O'Neal Cops to Bad Conduct, Gets Wrist Slapped
Crime may not pay, but for Tatum O'Neal, it doesn't exactly cost all that much, either.
The former wild child actress has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct stemming from her June crack bust. Prosecutors in turn dropped more serious charges, including drug possession.
To atone for her misdoing, Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Elisa Koenderman sentenced the youngest ever Oscar winner to spend two half-day sessions in a drug-treatment program and pay a $95 fee.
DMX Busted Again, Again
DMX can run, but he can't hide from trouble. Especially if he walks right up to it and demands it kick his butt.
The rapper, who's currently facing animal-cruelty charges in Arizona, was arrested Friday afternoon in Miami after he allegedly tried to buy drugs from an undercover cop.
According to the police report obtained by the Miami Herald, DMX approached the officer and asked for ''30 powder and 15 weed," aka $30 worth of cocaine and $15 of marijuana.
Ryan & Farrah's Kid Cops to Drug Rap
Another grim day in the O'Neal household.
Just weeks after half-sister Tatum was busted for attempting to buy crack in New York, Redmond O'Neal has copped to possessing heroin and methamphetamine in Malibu.
The younger O'Neal, the 23-year-old son of Ryan O'Neal and Farrah Fawcett, pleaded guilty yesterday to two felony counts of possession and one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence, according to Jane Robison of the Los Angeles
County District Attorney's Office. Per the plea deal with prosecutors, a second DUI charge was tossed.
Jamie Lee Comes Clean
Jamie Lee Curtis is trying to do for overcoming drug addiction what she did for aging gracefully—namely, take away its shame.
The 49-year-old actress has spoken out for the first time about her addiction to painkillers, taking her struggle to More nearly 10 years after conquering her battle with the prescription bottle.
Curtis told the magazine she became dependent on painkillers when she was 35 years old, after being prescribed a dose after undergoing some minor cosmetic surgery. She soon supplemented the pills with booze.
"No one knew," she said, including her comedy legend hubby Christopher Guest. "Chris didn't have a clue."
Alleged Winehouse Drug Dealers Done In
Amy Winehouse's beloved Blake may be getting some incarcerated company.
A couple suspected of acting as Winehouse's drug dealers have been arrested and charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and a form of Ecstasy by London police.
The arrest came about in the wake of an investigation into the infamous home footage of Winehouse, taken last January, in which she searches for her cat, brags about having taken a Valium and smokes an unknown substance from a pipe, among other unflattering behaviors.
Warren G's Chronic Trouble Behind Him
The Warren G situation has already been regulated.
After determining there wasn't enough evidence to move forward, the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office has opted not to press charges against the rapper stemming from his bust early Sunday morning for marijuana possession, E! News confirms.
Steve-O Avoids Jail After Guilty Plea in Coke Case
To hear him tell it, Steve-O's days of jackassery are behind him and he's ready for a clean—and sober—slate.
The thrill-seeking former MTV star entered a guilty plea today in Los Angeles to a cocaine-possession charge, announcing to the court that he "found God" and has been sober for 85 days.
Attorney Barry Gerald Sands tells E! News that because of his client's commitment and time in rehab, judgment was deferred upon successful completion of his treatment program.
"The entire case will be dismissed when he completes the program. It will be like it never happened," says Sands. "You can't beat that."
MTV Movie Awards: Blazing, Bromance & Cash Bars
The fire at Universal Studios wasn't the only thing burning at MTV's Movie Awards when presenters James Franco and Seth Rogen, stars of the upcoming stoner flick Pineapple Express, took the stage with a big bag of what looked like marijuana and proceeded to light a faux joint.
If you were watching at home, you probably couldn't see it—cameras pulled wide at the last minute. But the two passed the "joint" back and forth while they told the audience, "Don't really smoke fake weed."
So what were they smoking?

Dourdan Cops to Drug Felonies, Avoids Jail
For Gary Dourdan, two out of three ain't bad. Of course, it's not really all that good, either...
The recently killed-off CSI player pleaded guilty to two of his three counts of felony drug possession in Indio, Calif., this morning, stemming from his early morning bust in Palm Springs last month.
The actor copped to one count each of cocaine and Ecstasy possession during today's arraignment; a third charge of heroin possession was dismissed.
Although he could have faced up to three years and eight months behind bars, in exchange for his plea Dourdan will not serve any time but instead has until Nov. 20, 2009, to complete a series of drug-education courses as part of the court's diversion program.
"As a result of today's proceedings, Gary has been given diversion," his attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, said outside the courthouse. "He very much regrets what happened, and he's very embarrassed by what occurred, but he's looking forward to moving on and getting back to work.
Trey Anastasio Treats Himself to Probation
Trey Anastasio went Phishing for trouble and caught a break.
After successfully completing a drug reatment and counseling program, the jam rocker was sentenced to three years probation for a 2006 DWI bust. He had been facing a possible three years in state prison if for any reason he failed the drug program.
Anastasio, 43, pleaded guilty to felony possession of painkillers without a prescription in connection with a December 2006 traffic stop in upstate New York, during which officers found the painkillers hydrocodone and Percocet and the anti-anxiety medication Xanax, all prescribed to another person, according to official reports.
Charges of driving with a suspended license and driving while intoxicated were dropped as part of the plea deal. Anastasio did end up spending two days in jail after missing a counseling session in January, but he's due to graduate from his treatment program next month.
The musician's felony conviction was also reduced to a misdemeanor upon completion of treatment.
Winehouse Wriggles Out of Charges, Again
The arm of British law apparently isn't long enough to snare Amy Winehouse.
For the second time in as many months, the trouble-prone Grammy winner has evaded formal charges following a police investigation, this time in connection with a video showing the singer talking about, and allegedly taking, drugs.
"Police have confirmed that no action will be taken against Amy Winehouse in relation to an investigation into a video handed to them in January," the singer's rep, Tracey Millers, told E! News.
"Amy is pleased to be able to move on and concentrate on music and particularly looks forward to seeing her fans again at eagerly awaited festival performances this summer."
The 24-year-old was arrested in connection with a series of seemingly illicit goings-on on the video, first shown on the Sun tabloid's website in January and subsequently handed over to London's finest, after voluntarily turning up for questioning at a police station a week ago.
After grilling Winehouse for nine hours over the footage, which showed the "Rehab" crooner inhaling fumes from a pipe of unspecific origin, the Metropolitan Police released her on unconditional bail. While she was originally ordered to return to the police station later this month, she is no longer obligated to do so as the matter has been deemed closed by the cops.
The singer wasted no time getting back into the swing of things Tuesday night, joining equally beleaguered pal Pete Doherty in London to celebrate his first solo postlockup gig.
Also worth celebrating: Both managed to make it to Wednesday without being busted again.
