Castle Gets Personal, and There's More Dr. Horrible on the Way
Last time we saw the dynamic duo, Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) had dug just a little too deep into finding out about Kate Beckett's (Stana Katic) personal life. In the video above, Stana tells us about the personal turn her character takes this season as we find out more about her family and her private life.
Fret not, there are still more "precarious" moments between Castle and Kate to come.
And if you haven't read the first chapter of Heat Wave on ABC.com, get going because this season centers on the release of Richard Castle's first book following Kate Beckett.
Nathan also lets slip that a Dr. Horrible sequel is already in the writing stages, though you won't see the cast performing at the Emmys. Nathan's hope? Emmys host Neil Patrick Harris rigs the results in favor of Dr. Horrible. We hope so, too.
Will you be watching the new season of Castle on ABC? Or are you just excited for a new Dr. Horrible? The comments await!
Nathan Fillion: The Hammer Is His Penis!
I'm sorry, I just love Captain Hammer. Sign me up to be Groupie No. 4.
I just met Nathan Fillion for the first time at Comic-Con, and now I am so printing out a pic of the Captain to add to my wall of future second husbands. He is darling.
Press play above to hear about his Wonder Woman gig (reteaming with Keri Russell from Waitress), why the Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog fans rock and what it's like to work with Clan Whedon.
Dr. Horrible's Highest Lights
The Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog panel at Comic-Con was as amusing as you would expect, but there were some extra-special moments that I had to share. (My faves, you may have different ones.)
Funniest Misunderstanding: When actress Felicia Day said during the panel, "I'm Twittering under here," it actually wasn't a euphemism for, you know, self-love. Still, from that moment forward (after a lot of ribbing from the boys), Felicia kept her hands on the table at all times...
Finest Call to Revolution: Creator Joss Whedon regarding the Dr. Horrible business model: "This really was designed to be a model for a new way to put out media. A new form of artistic community that involves all of you guys and all of us and maybe not so much some other people. Dr. Horrible is about putting power in different hands—the wrong hands." Or to put it another way (which you guys might appreciate): "Can't stop the signal." (Boo-yah!)
Most Astute Observation: When a questioner called NPH "Doogie" at one point, Nathan Fillion pointed out, "Neil Patrick Harris actually invented the blog." And then he made a typey-type hand gesture that reminded us, hey, Doogie did kind of invent the blog...so young, so genius!
Best Exchange Between Actor and Writer: "It's actually is shaped like a little hammer," Nathan said of his you-know-what, which obviously is referenced in the show. Then, realizing that could be taken a different way, he added, "I mean, little for a hammer. I showed Joss that one day, and he won't shut up about it."
"That was a great day," Joss mused. "The day you got the part of Mal."

Video: Waking Up with Neil Patrick Harris and Kristin Chenoweth
After coanchoring E!'s Emmy nominations coverage in the wee early hours this morning (and popping the zipper on a dress and getting stuck halfway in it and almost missing the whole thing—I am nothing if not classy!), I was lucky enough to get some quality time with the announcers themselves, who are also nominees (hurrah!), Neil Patrick Harris and Kristin Chenoweth.
Kristin was her usual bottle of sunshine, and I got Neil to do Dr. Horrible's evil laugh! Why? Why not? And how's that go again? Click in to hear...
Dr. Horrible Site Crashes: The Word From Joss Whedon and Friends
Update, 3:03 p.m.: drhorrible.com is all better, so go watch and frolic, and then come back here and post your reaction in the comments.
It seems that Dr. Horrible killed the Internet. (See, he is a superfiend!)
The launch of Act One of Joss Whedon & Co.'s new Internet show Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog this morning was so darn successful that it sort of brought down the official online launchpad drhorrible.com.
I reached out to Team Horrible about this, and here's the official word to you, the fans:
Dr. Horrible Is Anything But
Did you hear? Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion and Joss Whedon are hitting the Internets! And soon. Their band-new, writers'-strike inspired, straight-to-Web feature Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog premieres this Tuesday at www.drhorrible.com. And here's the only supersecret spoiler I can share with you: If you miss it, you will cry.
I know. It's not much of a tease, but you'd be tight-lipped too if you'd been at last night's premiere screening for the cast and crew, where Joss asked us reporter types to defy our natural busybody tendencies and help protect the story of the show. (Seriously, can anyone say no to Joss?)
So what I can tell you is that Dr. Horrible is an hour-and-fifteen-minute-long show shot specifically for the Web, and it will make you want to jump through the screen and hand Neil, Joss and Nathan a lifetime supply of Emmys, Webbies, Grammys or whatever it is you give to guys who like to sing about being superheroes and supervillains. I totally loved it.
Read on to get more Horrible dish from the screening and powwow with cast and crew...
