Nice Try, David Beckham. You Don't Scare Us

David Beckham couldn't look bad no matter how hard he tried.
That said, we really haven't been digging that scraggly beard he's been sporting of late.
Thankfully, there's a good explanation. No, it's not some sort of strange soccer ritual—he's just trying to channel Hugh Jackman.
"Halloween's coming up and I was thinking of Wolverine from X-Men," he told the U.K.'s Daily Star. "It's not some playoff ritual. I'm just lazy and can't be bothered to shave. And everybody keeps telling me to cut it off and I'm stubborn."
With those eyes and abs, the image of Mr. Posh Spice trick-or-treating with sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz is still howlingly hot...but we're sure hoping he takes a razor to that scruff come Sunday.

Nearly Naked Megan Fox Strips Victoria Beckham of Underwear Gig

Megan Fox has stripped down for art. (Or whatever you want to call Jennifer's Body.) She's stripped down for men's magazines. Now she's stripping down for a little designer prestige. And, let's be honest, cold, hard cash.
That most underexposed of celebrities replaces Victoria Beckham as the face body pick your body part of the 2010 Emporio Armani Underwear campaign. It's the brand's second spokesceleb turnover in as many weeks—footballer Cristiano Ronaldo succeeded David Beckham on the men's side earlier this month.
Fox will also be taking center stage in a forthcoming Armani Jeans campaign, but we're guessing those shots will be met with a little less enthusiasm. And saliva.
The 23-year-old has already posed for the undoubtedly steamy shoot, with the black-and-white photos set to launch in both print ad and billboard form in January. According to Women's Wear Daily, unlike the Beckhams' campaign, the shots will all be solo endeavors—the David to her Victoria, Ronaldo, will not be posing alongside her in any of the ads.
As if Victoria needed another reason to not smile.

Once upon a time, Snoop Dogg told us he'd like to hit the studio with Miley Cyrus or the Jonas Brothers.
Sadly, he's singing a different tune these days.
When we caught up with the rapper in April, he told us that he'd like to "make some gangsta pop music" with the Disney sensations.
But when we ran into him last night at the launch of Adidas Originals by David Beckham and James Bond in L.A., he quickly backtracked...

The ever-reliable British Sun coughed up a check and a formal apology today after admitting that an item alleging Allen had let loose her acid tongue on David and Victoria Beckham wasn't true.
Plausible, yes. True, no.
In its defense, The Sun hadn't concocted the tale on its own, rather reprinted the alleged Allen quotes from the French magazine SoFoot (no, really).
Among the cheap shots the "Not Fair" singer allegedly lobbed at the Posh ones: "The Beckhams are sickening. Everyone knows Victoria is a monster. I'd rather shoot myself between the eyes than be a WAG."

Is Simon Cowell ditching the Emmys on Sunday to avoid the possibility of having to witness Ryan Seacrest take home the award for Outstanding Reality Host?
"Simon has placed himself as far away from Los Angeles on Emmy night as possible, just in case I happen to get lucky enough to win one," Seacrest told us last night at Santa Monica's Huntley Hotel, where he was celebrating his new ad campaign for Scope Outlast and Crest Plus Scope Outlast toothpaste.
"He's confirmed he will be in London just so he's not there in case of the little possibility that I walk away with it," he said.
Even so, Seacrest has a plan in place to rub it in the American Idol judge's grouchy face…

We're going to leave the international diplomacy to people like former President Bill Clinton.
However, David Beckham sure has a way of making political discourse a bit more, well, sexy.
The soccer stud met journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee after the Galaxy's win over Chivas USA this weekend at L.A.'s Home Depot Center.
I'm told Lee and her family are Chivas fans, but no biggie. They gladly accepted Becks' gift—the shirt he wore during the game.

It doesn't sound like parents-to-be Kendra Wilkinson and her football player hubby, Hank Baskett, will be going all Jon and Kate Gosselin on us.
Kendra says their baby, due on Christmas Day, probably won't be on camera too much if she and Baskett continue starring in reality television. That is a lesson she learned from tuning in for Jon & Kate Plus 8.
"We don't watch that anymore," Kendra tells me. "I watched back when it was good and they weren't all Hollywood."
She continued, "I feel bad for the kids. If we do have a show, none of that's going to happen...I want to be able to spend quality time with my child and not really give the world too much."

Booed Beckham No Longer the Biggest Star in Galaxy
Some homecoming that turned out to be.
Underwear model soccer star extraordinaire David Beckham returned to the L.A. Galaxy last night after a five-month, fan-resented loan to A.C. Milan. But great Beckspectations quickly gave way to great confrontations, as no. 23 was jeered for nearly the entire duration of his 75 minutes of game time and was, at one point, even challenged to a fight.
We think we speak for women everywhere when we say, please, not the face.
To make matters more tense, the rival team for the exhibition game was none other than the Italian battalion itself.
In fact, there was so much animosity, you'd think Victoria had made her way onto the field. Luckily, the Posh one knows from haters, and remained firmly ensconced in a skybox alongside her genetic wunderkinds and David's other bit of crumpet, BFF Tom Cruise.
