Miley Cyrus' Tour Bus in Deadly Crash

UPDATE 2: E! News has obtained audio of two 911 calls made by what sounds like two different people on the bus that crashed. In the first, the caller tells the dispatcher that the driver is "losing color," while the second caller says that he has gone into cardiac arrest.

UPDATE 1: The Cyrus family has issued a statement responding to this morning's tragedy on Miley's official site:

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of Bill 'Uncle Bill' Douglas. Members of our tour are like members of our family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family in the midst of this tragedy. He will truly be missed."

One person is dead and at least one more suffered minor injuries after one of Miley Cyrus' tour buses crashed and flipped onto its side in Virginia this morning.

Cyrus herself was not on board the bus at the time; the Disney has primarily been jetting to tour dates on a private plane for much of this tour.

"She was not on any of the buses and not on scene at any point," Virginia State Police Sgt. Thomas Molner told E! News. "She was on a different route."

Morgan's a Free Man After Settling Crash Suit

Morgan Freeman Jason Kempin/Getty Images

Morgan Freeman's crash suit has come to the end of the road.

The Oscar winner has settled the negligence suit filed against him in the wake of last summer's rollover car crash in the Mississippi Delta.

According to the state's Clarion-Ledger, the short-on-details court records were filed today, though do not disclose the amount or nature of the settlement.

The suit was filed in February, with passenger Demaris Meyers claiming that Freeman's precrash drinking was to blame for the accident, which left them both seriously injured.

Earlier this summer, Freeman, 71, roundly denied the allegations, and vowed to prove that Meyers was "comparatively negligent." A trial date to decide the matter had been set for next August.

That's one more to cross off the bucket list.

Nicole Richie Restrains Paps After Dratted Ding-Up

Nicole Richie Fame Pictures Inc.

Nicole Richie wants the paparazzi off her back and off her bumper.

The ticked-off celeb obtained temporary restraining orders today against two shutterbugs she says caused her fender-bender earlier this month and have been following her for some time.

"She claims they harassed and stalked her and were involved in the car accident in the beginning of month," Los Angeles Superior Court spokeswoman Vania Stuelp told E! News Friday.

Eduardo Cerri Arrivabene and Ivon Emilio Melo Miguel are required to stay at least 100 yards away from Richie's children, staff, home and vehicles. A hearing on the matter is set for Nov. 16.

The Simple Life alumna suffered minor injuries in the Oct. 5 smashup. She was seen tearfully talking to boyfriend Joel Madden's brother, Benji, after he arrived at the scene to help out.

Paps Give Michael Jackson's Kids the Lindsay Lohan Treatment

Prince Jackson, Paris Jackson, Blanket Jackson nationalphotogroup.com

Caution: Paparazzi in mirror are closer than they appear.

A security car trailing a vehicle that was carrying Michael Jackson's three children was rear-ended by a photographer this afternoon in Los Angeles, TMZ reports.

Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket are said to be fine, though we feel they're a little young to be experiencing the Hollywood starlet treatment.

Lindsay Lohan, for instance, was famously involved in several smashups caused by overeager paparazzi who just couldn't seem to stay off the girl's fender.

Luckily, the Jackson brood had a whole other vehicle between them and the offending photog, who took off before police arrived at the crash site, which was just a few miles away from the Jacksons' compound in Encino. A hit-and-run report was filed close to 2:30 p.m.

Earlier this month, a judge determined that the kids were doing "wonderfully" under the care of their grandmother Katherine.

She knew enough to arrange for that extra layer of vehicular paparazzi protection, didn't she?

Can't the paps just leave 'em alone? It would be a shame if the wee Jacksons end up in this gallery of celebs giving photogs the one-fingered salute.

Russell Crowe, Elizabeth Banks in Four-Alarm Fender-Bender

On the bright side, if Russell Crowe and Elizabeth Banks exploded in a fireball, at least the fire department was on scene...

The stars almost ended up playing roadkill after their van was clipped by a fire truck while they were shooting their movie The Next Three Days in Deutschtown, Pa.

Per the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the actors' vehicle was parked on a street near Duquesne University when the emergency unit raced around a corner too quickly and whacked the van's front bumper. No doubt the next three minutes were a little scary, but luckily no one was hurt in the collision and filming on the crime drama continued on as scheduled.

Reps for Crowe and Banks were unavailable for comment.

The Next Three Days finds the pair costarring as a married couple whose life is turned upside down when she's arrested for murder and he fights to clear her.

We're sure it's good and all, but the flick doesn't sound nearly as exciting as dodging fire engines.

Nicole Richie Nicked by Paparazzo

Nicole Richie's lucky she didn't have any babies on board.

The celebutante is nursing what appear to be minor injuries after her Range Rover was dinged by a pursuing paparazzo in Beverly Hills.

"She was rear-ended," BHPD Lt. Tony Lee tells E! News, adding that the accident occurred around 2 p.m. "There was a complaint of pain injury. She told officers at the scene that she's going to seek her own medical treatment."

Benji Madden was spotted on scene comforting her after the rough ride. But Richie, who just welcomed her second child last month, apparently left boyfriend Joel Madden home with newborn Sparrow and Harlow.

No ambulances were called and the damage to the vehicles was described as minimal (scratches and dents on the bumper), though Richie appeared to be crying afterward while sitting in the driver's seat, talking to Joel. Her mom, Brenda, showed up while police were still there and got into the car, apparently to console her daughter.

When asked if Nicole was OK, she replied, "No, no she's not."

The shutterbug behind the bust-up was cited for being an unlicensed driver and his jeep was impounded.

Megan Mullally Dinged Up in Wreck

Megan Mullally, you're a real trouper.

The Emmy-owning Will & Grace star is soldiering on with her showbiz duties even after suffering minor injuries last week in a car crash.

Per the Beverly Hills cops, the collision occurred at about noon Sept. 16, when Mullally's vehicle struck another car. Investigators are still trying to piece together what happened, and no citations have been issued.

"The two parties involved in the accident were solo. There were no passengers in either vehicle," Lt. Tony Lee tells E! News.

"It was nothing dramatic. Just a complaint of pain injury," Lee says, adding that paramedics treated both parties at the scene for minor dings—their rides weren't so lucky. "The vehicles were actually towed...[with] moderate damage."

The smashup, however, caused the 50-year-old funnylady to bow out of her L.A. play, The Receptionist, last Thursday and Friday. Mullally was back onstage Saturday with a brace on her wrist. Tonight, she's due on the red carpet for the premiere of her new film, a big-screen remake of Fame.

LeAnn Rimes Skates on Hit-and-Run

LeAnn Rimes Jean Baptiste Lacroix/Getty Images

Homewrecker? Maybe. Car wrecker? Not according to the cops.

L.A.'s Finest have opted not to bring hit-and-run charges against LeAnn Rimes for a fender-bender last month en route to a rendezvous with Eddie Cibrian.

The country songbird was accused of fleeing the scene of the minor accident on the evening of Aug. 21. Officers conducted a routine probe and filed a report after interviewing the "One Way Ticket" singer, who was said to be cooperative.

But an LAPD spokeswoman tells E! News today that investigators decided to drop the case after it was clear Rimes did not realize she struck another vehicle.

Of course, that doesn't mean the streets of L.A. are any safer with Rimes on them.

Just yesterday she reportedly rear-ended a Mercedes in Santa Monica while trying to elude paparazzi. Luckily no one was injured.

And this time she stuck around to trade insurance information.

Nick Hogan's Brain-Damaged Pal Out of Hospital

A small piece of good news for John Graziano.

The 24-year-old Iraq War veteran, permanently disabled two years ago after speed demon Nick Hogan flipped the car they were in, has finally been released from a Florida hospital.

Graziano was riding shotgun with his best pal and sustained a cracked skull and severe brain damage during the street-racing mishap. While Hogan, whose real name is Nicholas Bollea, escaped unscathed, Graziano was left bedridden, unable to communicate or move on his own due to swelling of his brain.

Per the St. Petersburg Times, VA doctors felt Graziano's condition had improved enough to allow him to be discharged. His mom, Debra, escorted the wheelchair-bound Marine to a minivan with his brother and sister, and the family left for home earlier today.

Unlike Bollea, who ended up serving five months in jail for reckless driving but can get on with his life, Graziano's brain injury means he will need lifelong, round-the-clock medical care. His family has filed a civil suit against the Hogans.

You'd think Nick would be barred from getting behind a wheel for a long time, right?  Not so fast.

Bad Buzz? Green Hornet Stung by Set Accident

Loading...

Let's hope Seth Rogen and Cameron Diaz's onscreen action is better than the offscreen version.

The stars watched a stunt go awry this weekend during shooting of their upcoming crimefighter caper The Green Hornet, as a driver lost control of his car during a chase scene and crashed into the front of the headquarters of the Creative Artists Agency, and only E! News was there.

Rogen, Diaz and costar Edward James Olmos were filming a shootout with an incoming SWAT team in front of the offices of one of Hollywood's premiere talent agencies when the accident occurred.

None of the stars was involved in the scene. The stuntmen who were behind the wheel of the two vehicles walked away unscathed.

The same couldn't be said for the building. A portion of the driveway wall suffered moderate damage, prompting the film crew's construction department to work all day making repairs. A Sony Pictures rep described the incident as "a minor, noninjury accident" and said production was not delayed.

Barring further calamities, the Michel Gondry-directed flick should hit theaters Dec. 17, 2010.

Phew! Renée Zellweger Survives Fender Bender

Renee Zellweger GABO/GVK/bauergriffincom

After all the big misses she's been having at the box office (yeah, we said it), it's about time Renée Zellweger had a near miss that worked to her benefit.

The Oscar winner is A-OK after a fender bender earlier today.

She was traveling alone (read: without Bradley Cooper) in her silver Mercedes G wagon when she was walloped by a wrong-way driver.

"Ms. Zellweger was traveling north on Camden Drive when a green Explorer made an illegal U-turn," Lt. Tony Lee of the Beverly Hills Police Department tells E! News.

The driver was pulling out of a parking space when they attempted the turn. There were no injuries, and the cars only suffered minor damage.

"Ms. Zellweger was very professional and courteous," Lee says. "Our officer said she was very polite."

Clicking Noises and Then Hell on Travis Barker and DJ AM's Tragic Flight

DJ AM, Travis Barker plane crash AP Photo

Clicking noises are never good.

You don't want to hear them in your home or in your car—and you certainly don't want to hear them on an airplane.

Transcripts of the cockpit conversations from Travis Barker and DJ AM's tragic Learjet accident in South Carolina last September have just been released and reveal that such a sound was the first indication something horrible was about to happen.

Just reading the exchange is eerie.
