Cougar Town to Resume Production After Courteney Cox's "Family Matter"
Looks like the Cox-Arquette family is moving past the "family matter" that temporarily halted production on Courteney's new ABC comedy, Cougar Town.
A source close to the series just told us:
"We were down last Friday and are on a scheduled hiatus this week. We'll resume production on Monday."
Another source reveals that Courteney's husband, David Arquette, is still working...
Arquette has been putting in long hours on the set of in an independent film, The Land of the Astronauts, which has been shooting in downtown Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley for the past two weeks. A source close to the actor says filming has been business as usual in recent days with "no apparent" family issues interfering.
"David is a pro and seems to talk to his family often," the source says. Yesterday, the production took a planned day off, but resumed shooting this morning.
So what was the family matter Courteney needed to tend to?

Spoiler Chat: Grey's Anatomy's Kevin McKidd Dishes on (And Defends!) "Love Triangle"
Cristina hates her. With a passion. And so far, it seems that some of you fans do too.
Ever since Kim Raver (whom Cristina named "Desert Storm Barbie") was introduced on Thursday's episode of Grey's Anatomy, our inbox has overflowed with messages from fans wanting to know what's next for their favorite couple, Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) and Owen (Kevin McKidd), now that Kim's character, Dr. Teddy Altman, is in the mix.
Well, we just talked to Kevin himself, and he admits that he, too, was concerned at first about the triangle, but he warmed up to it, and tells you fans why you might want to keep an open mind.
Oh, and if you want to know what's next for Glee (Christmas song!), Vampire Diaries (dish from Kevin Williamson himself) or Desperate Housewives (who won't die?), we have that too.
It's all in our latest roundup of exclusive TV scoop...
Alex in Rhode Island: Please don't tell me Kim Raver is sticking around long on Grey's Anatomy!
That's What Friends Are For: Lisa Kudrow Set to Guest on Courteney Cox's Cougar Town
"I didn't realize we were really good friends. I figured we were more like Chandler and Phoebe. They never really had stories together."
—Abed (Danny Pudi) to Annie (Alison Brie), NBC's Community
We know this much to be true: Any Friends rerun playing at 11:30 p.m. on channel 5 is still as good or better than most of the original episodes of TV airing on any given day.
Friends still rules, after all this time, which is why we're delighted that five years after the series went off the air, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow are reuniting onscreen!
ABC sources confirm that Kudrow is set to film an episode of Cox's hit freshman series, Cougar Town, later this month.
But who will Lisa play, and when will we see the episode onscreen? Here's what we can tell you...
Update
Modern Family, Cougar Town Live; Southland Dies
Hey, ABC. You did good today!
Not only did the Alphabet net pick up some show called The Middle which we're just going to sort of gloss right over, but network reps also just confirmed that they've given a full-season pickup to both Courteney Cox's (and Scrubs producer Bill Lawrence's) promising new comedy Cougar Town and our pick for the best new comedy of the season: Modern Family.
Don't you love it when good TV survives?
And yet, this also just in: Sources confirm that a certain NBC show many of you fans love has just been canceled. Southland starring Ryan Atwood Ben McKenzie is not going on the air at all this season, despite a planned Oct. 23 premiere. (And a certain costar is tweeting his, um, disappointment, to put it lightly...)
Was There Room Enough for Glee in Cougar Town?
Glee was thrown to the wolves—and cougars—last night.
In its third week, the perpetually peppy high school dramedy faced its first killer test, going up against the premieres of CBS' Criminal Minds, NBC's Law & Order: SVU and ABC's new comedy block, including Courteney Cox's Cougar Town.
It passed.
Glee held steady with 6.6 million viewers, per preliminary Nielsen estimates, dominating among teens and Gossip Girls where Cougar Town (11.6 million) understandably worked the cougar vote.
Criminal Minds (15.4 million) won the night, while the Jay Leno-shuffled SVU (8.4 million) looked a little smaller at 9 p.m.

Pattinson & Cox: A Cougar Town Canoodle?
Can't you just see it now: Courteney Cox getting it on with Robert Pattinson!
It definitely would make for good TV on Cougar Town, Cox's upcoming ABC comedy in which she plays a 40-year-old single mom who has a thing for younger dudes.
"Why don't we get the Twilight guys," Cox's costar Busy Philipps told me today during a set visit by the Cheesecake Factory and Feeding America (more on that after the jump). "That would be awesome."
Cox is into the idea. "We'll have to do that," she said. "If the show is a success I'm sure it will be easy to do. But we'll have to see how it goes first."
Also on Cox's plate? Scream 4!...
