Is Julianne Moore Coming to 30 Rock?
Check out the photo above for what may be a huge 30 Rock spoiler!
Nothing is confirmed, but Alec Baldwin recently talked to my fellow E! News correspondent Ashlan Gorse on the red carpet at an Elle event, and revealed that he is getting a new love interest later this season.
Baldwin, who was just announced as cohost of this year's Oscars with Steve Martin, wouldn't name names, but he did give us a hint: "I won't say who it is, but someone very near to us who may be coming on to play my girlfriend for four episodes."
Well, we tallied up all the attractive ladies in the vicinity of Alec on the red carpet—contenders included Renée Zellweger, Becki Newton, Emily Blunt, Diane Kruger, Brenda Strong, Zoe Saldana, Julianne Moore, Katie Holmes and Julie Andrews—and after doing a little top-secret detective work, we have reason to believe the lady in question is none other than Julianne Moore.
Although we do think Julie Andrews hooking up with Jack Donaghy would be high-larious, Ms. Moore is quite perfect for the part. She's age-appropriate, hot, funny and lives in New York. (Alec himself ruled out Renée.)
Julianne's rep tells us, "You would need to contact NBC for an official answer," and NBC isn't revealing the identity of Donaghy's new GF, but Moore remains a definite possibility.
Not to mention...
Benjamin Bratt Returns to Law & Order
It turns out you can go home again.
After a couple of failed series (Jerry Bruckheimer's military drama E-Ring and A&E's rehab drama The Cleaner), the very delicious Benjamin Bratt is returning to the show that made him a star: Law & Order.
According to NBC, Bratt's gonna make a one-episode appearance later this season in an installment that "reunites him with his former boss Lt. Anita Van Buren (S. Epatha Merkerson)." The network hasn't announced a specific airdate for the ep.
Even if it is just a flyby, we'll be more than happy to have Benjamin back on TV. Rey Curtis was always a great character, and heck, he was Julia Roberts' best boyfriend ever.
But is he the hottest L&O detective ever?

Matt LeBlanc Returns to TV With Some New Friends
How you doin'? Pretty good, if you're Matt LeBlanc.
The former Friends and Joey star has signed a deal with Showtime and BBC to head up Episodes, a satirical look at a British couple whose hit show in the U.K. is transformed into a less-funny, dumbed-down sitcom in America.
Hmmm, sounds a little like real-life circumstances that have surrounded The Office (which we love!), no?
LeBlanc is set to star as himself in a U.S. rip-off of the Brit series in Episodes. On reteaming with Friends creator David Crane on the project, LeBlanc joked: "I love it. And I am so glad I got the part—seeing someone else play Matt LeBlanc would have been devastating."
The comedy-within-a-comedy is set to begin production on its six-episode order this winter and will air on both Showtime and BBC Two in 2010.

Paula Abdul Is No Betty
This week is off to a grim start for Paula Abdul.
The dancing shows don't want her, and now she won't be bringing the pretty to Ugly Betty after all.
"Paula will not be on our show," an ABC spokesman tells E! News.
Abdul was slated to appear on the America Ferrera comedy as a temp at Mode who buddies up with Becki Newton's Amanda. The episode was supposed to begin shooting this week.
ABC did tease, however, that 3rd Rock From the Sun funnylady Kristen Johnston would be guest-starring on the show. No word if she'll be filling the shoes of Amanda's new friend or not.
Could this mean a return-to-Idol announcement may be imminent?
Fingers crossed!

Meet Melrose Place's Newest Lady of the Night
Yay, overeducated hookers!
The sexiest, most depraved storyline on the new Melrose Place is the one where Stephanie Jacobsen's Lauren decides to pay her med-school bills by becoming a high-class call girl.
It's hard out there for a ho, especially one as fundamentally ladylike and good-hearted as Lauren, so the Melrose Place bosses kindly just cast someone to show her the prostitution ropes...

This Just In: Brian Austin Green Joins Smallville
Good morning, TV fans! Let's start the day off with a roundup of CW casting news, including updates on Smallville, One Tree Hill and Supernatural.
• Brian Austin Green will follow up on his genre work on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles with a guest stint on Smallville as killer cyborg Metallo.
• Bonus BAG Sighting: Our dearly departed Derek Reese, who is apparently the CW's new favorite thing—what with Body Politic, the OTH rumors and now Smallville—was spotted this morning at Manhattan Bagel on Ventura Blvd. in the Valley. Fan report from the scene: He was nice. (Yes, we are the hardest hard-nosed reporters evar.)
• One Tree Hill's newest castmember (after Robert Buckley) will be Shantel VanSanten, as Quinn, Haley's older sister.
• Our favorite TV casting rumor of the summer has been debunked by all parties: Wentworth Miller will not be appearing as Lucifer on season five of Supernatural. At least that's not the plan right now, but it should become the plan, because, well...can you imagine?
Who's your dream casting for Lucifer on Supernatural? Post in the comments!
