Burn Notice and Royal Pains Renewed!
Yay! If Jeffrey Donovan's DUI hadn't made us gun-shy, we would totally celebrate this news with a margarita or some other kind of pseudo-tropical alcoholic beverage: USA Network has officially renewed Burn Notice and Royal Pains!
Burn Notice is going into a fourth year, while freshman series Royal Pains now graduates to a sophomore season. (Burn Notice has additional episodes airing this winter, and then both series return with fresh seasons in summer 2010.)
The spy series starring Jeffrey Donovan brought in 6.8 million viewers last week, which means basic cable is now making broadcast cry during the summer. Meanwhile, Royal Pains, Mark Feuerstein's medical drama set in the high-class Hamptons, is the year's top new cable series.
Do you love these shows? Has Royal Pains lived up to your expectations? How do you feel about the chemistry between Hank and Jill (and Evan and Divya)?
And what about the current season of Burn Notice? Is it still awesome or are you a little disappointed? Share your thoughts in the comments!
