Countdown to Britney Spears' "3" Video Is Over
For those of you needing more than the few seconds of the "3" video that Britney Spears teased us with yesterday, you're in luck, as the whole darn thing now makes its debut.
And of course, given the song's ménage à trois theme, it's really no surprise to see the pop princess bringing the sexy here, complete with lacy outfits, revealing leotards and a whole lot of gyrating with her multiple backup dancers.
Much like those few seconds from yesterday.

Sometimes singers don't just get sexy, they also get animated.
Britney Spears' Blink and You'll Miss It Video Clip
OK, we're keeping this short, as it doesn't seem right to make this text any longer to read than the length of the preview clip that Britney Spears has just released for her "3" video debuting Friday. 'Nuff said.

Listen to the whole song, sans the full video of course, here!
Kevin Federline: How He's Trying to Lose the Weight
Kevin Federline is in therapy.
He has no choice. It's part of the regimen he's being put through as a competitor on the upcoming seventh season of Celebrity Fit Club.
High School Musical star KayCee Stroh, who is also competing on the weight-loss reality show, says everyone has to keep a daily journal, too.
Even so, the former Mr. Britney Spears has yet to break down in front of anyone because...
Is Britney Spears Music Really Torture in Gitmo?
What's with these rock artists complaining about their songs being used to faze Gitmo detainees? How can a Britney Spears song be called "torture"?
—April, Texas
Dear Person Who Has Never Heard a Britney Spears Song: There is much we must discuss.
But yes, musicians—Pearl Jam, R.E.M. and Trent Reznor among them—are reacting this week to word that music may have been used in conjunction with detainee torture at Guantanamo Bay. "The fact that music I helped create was used in crimes against humanity sickens me," is how Tom Morello put it this week.
For the record, experts tell me that "torture" may be too strong a term for the techniques in question, so, from this point on, we'll won't use "torture." We'll say "make detainees want to drive to Britney's house, park outside and swallow a glassful of lye."
So just how could folks like Britney, Eminem, Christina Aguilera—even Elmo and his pals on Sesame Street, apparently—be used as unwitting participants in Gitmo interrogations?
Well...
Britney Spears Foots a Bill for Squishing Shutterbug
Hitting Britney Spears one more time paid off.
The chart topper has settled a lawsuit brought against her by a paparazzo whose foot she ran over with her car outside a Beverly Hills medical building in 2007 (not to be confused with the feet she squished that year belonging to a sheriff's deputy and a different shutterbug), according to paperwork filed Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court.
The terms of the settlement were not disclosed, but Ricardo Mendoza, who was pounding the pavement when the accident occurred, had been seeking nearly $230,000 in damages and medical expenses.
Mendoza sued in May for an unspecified amount, then followed up with an amended complaint last month.
Perhaps it was the big round zeros that finally caught Britney's lawyers' attention.
Attorney Benjamin C. Alvarez's rebuttal papers had described Mendoza as a "self-serving, profit-hungry paparazzo" who "positioned and placed himself in the roadway in front of Ms. Spears' vehicle."
We're glad Britney's apparent foot fetish is behind her. It's so much more fun critiquing her sartorial choices in our Fashion Spotlight.
"3" Really Is a Charm—Britney's Back on Top!
Britney Spears has taken "3" to 1.
The pop tart's ode to ménage à trois has hit the public's sweet spot, coming in atop the Billboard singles charts and rather aptly giving Brit-Brit her third career No. 1.
"I want to thank my fans for making '3' the No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100," she said.
Not to mention marking the first time in three years (can you spot the theme forming here?) that an artist has debuted in—and not been forced to make the slow climb into—the top spot. Clearly, when it comes to record busting, she doesn't do small: Spears is now also the first non-American Idol winner to reach the chart summit since 1998. (We hope you're proud of yourselves, Taylor Hicks fans.)
"I am truly blessed with the greatest fans in the world, and I am so happy y'all love it because I do this all for you," Spears said. "I can't wait till you see the video."
The wait won't be long. Taking into consideration both her fans' buying power and her time-tested pop star formula, Spears knows that a successful Britney is a raunchy Britney. And judging by the steamy threesome-happy stills released this week, this is going to be one successful video.

Britney: Gimme More...Apologies
At least when U.S. tabloids make up exclusive cover stories, they have the good sense not to include direct and easily traceable quotes from the stars themselves. Not so the British and French rags.
The U.K.'s More! magazine has become the latest glossy-paged publication to eat crow and issue an apology, this time to Britney Spears over a June cover story billed as an exclusive one-on-one conversation with the singer.
Instead, the "interview" was more like a greatest-hits collection of every publicly issued statement Spears had delivered over the past year, with such banal revelations as "I'm just not that into going out late at night or going to clubs anymore" and "There are so many things that I am grateful for."
Hardly seems worth the effort, really. Unfortunately, More! couldn't open the door of apology without throwing someone out the window...
Is "3" a Charm for Britney?
We're happy Britney Spears is getting so much quality time with her sons, but she may want to scale back the Sesame Street marathons. And not just because her new, slightly phoned-in single, "3," could very well have been brought to us by the letters W, T and F.
The only new track to appear on her forthcoming compilation, The Singles Collection, the fun-with-numbers song—which debuted this morning on New York's Z100—features such thought-provoking lyrics as "everybody loves counting," "come out and play," and, oh yes, the ad nauseam repetition of "1, 2, 3."
Of course, the ménage à trois-promoting (and, oddly enough, Peter, Paul and Mary-referencing) tune isn't for the Big Bird set. Unless they too think that "living in sin is the new thing."
And it being a Britney track, we're well aware it's also not for the lyric-dissecting set. It's for the dance-floor set. And, since it happens to have been produced by Max Martin, the same guy responsible for Spears' career-launching "…Baby One More Time," we'd say it has a pretty good shot at becoming a hit.
What do you say?
Brit, K-Fed and Kids: Sharin' the Custody Groove
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Maybe the Britster could use that for her next album title?
E! News has learned Britney Spears and ex-hubby Kevin Federline will contiue splitting time with their two young sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, after a Los Angeles Superior Court judge extended the terms of their custody agreement.
The detailed order, which remains under seal, keeps intact the 50-50 custody arrangement and also guarantees K-Fed will continue to receive $20,000 a month in support if the kids are in California. That figure balloons to $25,000 a month (kinda like K-Fed's current waistline) if the pop princess takes them out out of town.
In that case, to guarantee Federline access to 4-year-old Sean and 3-year-old Jayden, the order stipulates Spears continue to provide her onetime backup dancer ex with housing wherever she is on tour, according to sources familiar with the legal arrangement.
The deal, initially agreed to before the singer embarked on her Circus trek, will last through the end of the year. The judge will likely make it permanent when he reviews the case at the end of the year.
By then, Federline expects to have dropped the extra weight he's put on by participating in the upcoming season of VH1's Celebrity Fit Club along with former partner, Shar Jackson, singer Bobby Brown and erstwhile Baywatch beauty Nicole Eggert.

Pap Socks It to Britney One More Time
You'd think this guy's rollover minutes would have expired by now.
Shutterbug Ricardo Mendoza, whose foot fell victim to the tire of Britney Spears' Mercedes in 2007, has updated his accusation against the rejuvenated pop princess.
When he sued her for assault, battery and negligence in May, the damages were unspecified. But now, they're specified: Mendoza wants $195,000 in general damages, $16,533.59 for medical bills and $10,000 for any future foot problems.
Mendoza, who was clicking away for TMZ at the time of the incident, let the website auction off the treaded-upon sock he was wearing two years ago, saying that would be that—but apparently it was not.
Michael Jackson vs. Britney Spears: Pop Go the Singles!
Get ready for two new singles from two—like it or not, Britney haters—pop icons: One whose recording career hasn't exactly been showing signs of life lately and the other whose, well, life hasn't exactly been showing signs of life lately.
That's right, just in case a feature-length documentary, unrelenting media coverage (you're welcome?) and a tribute milkshake weren't enough to slake the public's thirst for the King of Pop, Sony Music Entertainment today announced it will be releasing Michael Jackson's first posthumous single, "This Is It," Oct. 12.
We're guessing if sales go as hoped, this definitely won't be it...
Will Madonna Perform at the Video Music Awards?!
Madonna may be 51, but don't you dare think for even a second that she's too old for MTV.
There's a rumor flying around that the Queen of Pop will perform her new single "Celebration" at next month's Video Music Awards in New York City.
Those set to perform during the show, which takes place Sept. 13 at Radio City Music Hall, include Jay-Z, Lady Gaga, Pink, Taylor Swift, Green Day and Muse.
Madonna's rep insists there are no plans for the VMAs this year. But let's say it does actually happen—would she be able to top some of her most memorable past appearances?
