Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff may have looked fab onstage, but things weren't quite in step behind the scenes.
An insider reports the ex-couple exchanged some heated words before and after their performance.
"They were going at it, screaming at each other," an eyewitness tells me. "He said she was taking too long in hair and makeup. It got kind of loud."
Backstage at the Lipton Green Vitali Tea gift lounge, questions about the breakup were off-limits, but Karina said she couldn't be happier with their dance routine...

I just learned that the dance-happy duo of Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy have uncoupled and called off their long-pending nuptials.
"I am confirming that they did indeed break up," Karina's rep tells me. No word yet from Team Max.
Word of the split comes just a month after they debuted on Broadway in Burn the Floor. In retrospect, we may have missed signs of trouble back on the eve of that show's debut, when they told us their busy schedule, including the upcoming season of DWTS, would delay their vow swapping until next summer...

Khloé Kardashian is keeping her fingers crossed that sister Kim's reunion with ex-boyfriend Reggie Bush will turn into something more permanent.
"I hope they get back together," Khloé told us yesterday at the fifth annual Miss Malibu Pageant benefiting LudaCares. "Reggie's like my brother...Even when they broke up, I still talked to Reggie all the time. We're still really close."

Kim Kardashian may be single, but that doesn't mean she's rushing to replace her footballer ex-boyfriend, Reggie Bush.
"I definitely don't think we'll be seeing Kim with anyone anytime soon," Caroline D'Amore, a close pal of the E! reality star, tells us. "Reggie was the major love of her life, and it's not going to be easy to just meet someone new."
In fact, D'Amore thinks Ms. K.K. should cool it in the romance department...

Vanessa Minnillo is having no problem moving on from Nick Lachey.
Ms. Minnillo was whoopin' it up last night with some friends at celebrity restaurant STK Los Angeles. She was one hungry lady, enjoying a 16 oz. NY strip, a mac and cheese, plus some sweet corn pudding.
She washed it all down and then some with chardonnay and shots of Patrón. Showing off her bod in a short pink and purple dress, "She was definitely looking to have fun," a source said.
Lachey and the former MTV VJ split up late last month, after about three years together.
Minnillo, I'm told, took off after about three hours, around midnight, "and went out clubbing with her friends."
Minnillo wasn't the only pretty starlet in the eatery to be enjoying mucho drinks…

US Weekly reported this morning that the couple has split after almost seven years together because they are "polar opposites [who] were never too compatible." Jackson is shy and private, while Dupri is a gregarious charmer who loves to be out and about.

Matt Grant, the leading man on season 12 of The Bachelor, says the show's potential for making a successful match is pretty low. "There's always the possibility [of finding true love on the show], but I think the chances are slim," Grant told us this weekend at the 23rd Genesis Awards in Beverly Hills. "It's hard enough finding a good girlfriend in reality, let alone the nonreality of reality TV."
