Swine Flu Scare Brings Down Bones

Emily Deschanel, David Boreanaz, Bones, Pigs Greg Gayne/FOX; Greg Gayne/FOX

Booth and Bones are taking a break, and the pigs are to blame.

But don't get too upset, Bones fans. The show's production has been shut down today due to a swine flu scare.

"First time in Bones history we are shut down from production," show creator Hart Hanson wrote on Twitter. "Damn swine flu! That's gonna cut into Christmas hiatus."

But David Boreanaz fans can relax—the hunk may be sick, but it ain't H1N1.

"Oops! There is no indication that Boreanaz has swine flu," he added nearly an hour later. "We expect him back tomorrow. I'm now going out to get swine flu myself in atonement."

A Fox rep tells E! News, "Production on Bones was shut down today, but we expect to be up and running tomorrow."

At least one magically adorable actor had the H1N1 virus. Remember who it was?

Emily Deschanel Says a Bones-Booth Pregnancy Unlikely Next Season

More from Watch with Kristin

We was robbed.

Not only did Bones and Booth not have baby-making sex on Bones last season, they probably aren't going to creating a li'l Brennan anytime soon. Bones star Emily Deschanel says it's unlikely her character will become pregnant in the upcoming season.

"There are complications along the way of [Temperance and Booth] discussing having children," Emily explained during an appearance at the 49th Annual Monte Carlo Television Festival in Monaco. "I think it's very possible she will be pregnant in the future, but I don't think its going to happen right away. I think she has some growing to do.

"Everyone is aware that once you get the two characters together you lose that glue that holds the show together, which is that sexual tension," she said. "I think they are being very careful about how to move forward without destroying that tension."

Emily also revealed part of season five's guest-star lineup, which includes a very famous lady rock star…

Lie to Me Not Digging Them Bones

Bones Isabella Vosmikova/FOX

If there's anything worse than being a show fighting for renewal, it's being a show fighting for renewal and being shown up by another show.

Airing in Lie to Me's usual time slot last night, Bones improved on the Tim Roth series' last performance by 26 percent, with 10.8 million viewers, per preliminary Nielsen estimates. In the all-important 18-49 demo, Bones was 20 percent bigger than the previous Lie to Me.

Elsewhere Wednesday:

American Idol (23.5 million) pulled out all the stops—a Miley Cyrus performance here, a Matt Giraud save there—but, in the end, basically ran even with last week.

• That Lost (9 million) was up isn't so odd—it is Lost, and Criminal Minds was a rerun. That Scrubs (5.3 million) and Better Off Ted (4.7 million) were also up was more puzzling—do Old Christine and Gary Unmarried watchers really go sitcom shopping when their shows are in reruns?

America's Next Top Model (3.8 million) remained the CW's top dog and chief young-women wrangler.
