This Just In: Fox Pulls Dollhouse; Neil Diamond Hearts Glee

• Dollhouse Pulled: Fox confirms to us that Dollhouse will be off the air for November sweeps. It will return with new episodes on Dec. 4. The fourth episode airs tomorrow night, with guest star Alexis Denisof (Mr. Alyson Hannigan).
• Glee, Part One: This might be the best tweet ever: @neildiamond Hey, so who's this guy Puck singing "Sweet Caroline" so good,so good,so good on #Glee? Loved it!! (@Mark_Salling must be a puddle of goo right about now.)
• Glee, Part Two: A rep for Fox tells us there is "no truth to my knowledge" that Glee is planning to slap back at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade's recent diss by doing a spring episode about the Glee club being excluded from a school parade.
• The Big Bang Theory: The hot geek cameo du jour is apparently CBS' Big Bang Theory. Star Trek's Wil Wheaton appeared on this Monday's ep, and now Battlestar babe Katee Sackhoff is set to stop by later this year. Nerds rejoice!

• In Plain Sight: USA has picked up the witness-protection drama for a 16-episode third season. Yay for Mary McCormack and Fred Weller!
• House: Have you seen the new House promo where House (Hugh Laurie) is smooching guest star Franka Potente? What do you guys think about that?
• Dollhouse: Jamie Bamber isn't the only Battlestar Galactica vet swinging by the Dollhouse set this season—Michael Hogan (Col. Saul Tigh) is also set to guest star this year. Hogan pops up in the second episode.
• TCA Awards: Speaking of Battlestar Galactica, the critically acclaimed drama was finally recognized at an awards show, taking the honor of Program of the Year this weekend at the Television Critics Association Awards. Other TCA Awards winners include True Blood, Mad Men, The Big Bang Theory and Breaking Bad.
• Sesame Street: After a successful parody entitled "Desperate Houseplants," the producers have decided to spoof Mad Men. Personally, we're looking forward to a puppet-size Jon Hamm.

• Desperate Housewives: A studio-lot spy snapped a photo that may reveal the identity of Mike Delfino's bride on Desperate Housewives. Wanna see?
• The Big Bang Theory: Ugh! Apparently Penny and Leonard are a go for romance on The Big Bang Theory. As Penny-Sheldon partisans, this displeases us.
• Big Love: Extreme hottie Adam Beach—if you haven't seen Smoke Signals, go rent it now, please—is joining the cast of HBO's Big Love as a principal in Bill Henrickson's Indian gaming deal.
• Futurama: The original voice cast of Futurama is not coming back for the new episodes, because Fox won't meet their fee. On behalf of loyal fans everywhere, we are taking this personally.
• Sons of Anarchy: In other, happier news relating to Katey Sagal, Sons of Anarchy show runner Kurt Sutter has updated his blog with the first new season-two footage.

A Slam-Bang Big Bang Theory
The Big Bang Theory scored its biggest audience in a month for its second-season finale: 9.8 million viewers, per preliminary Nielsen estimates.
Heading into Monday, the science-celebrating sitcom was already defying the law of TV ratings by drawing nearly 20 percent more fans this season compared to last.
Elsewhere Monday:
• Something got into House (12.3 million) and Gossip Girl (2.3 million): more viewers.
• Something really got into Castle (10.6 million). The bubble show was up by more than 2 million viewers.
• 24 (10 million) showed no ill-effect from Kiefer Sutherland's head-butt, or not.
• Last week, Dancing With the Stars lost Lil' Kim. Last night, it lost some steam (18.3 million, down from last week's 19.3 million). The show was still the night's biggest.
• Two and a Half Men (12.9 million) likewise had an off night, even as it remained the No. 1 show among adults 18-49.
• At 9 p.m., Medium (6.3 million) was cool. By 10 p.m., it warmed (7.3 million).
Life on Mars Out of ABC Orbit; CBS Sticks With Two and a Half Men, Big Bang Theory

Life on Mars is headed to the great TV land in the sky, while Two and a Half Men and Big Bang Theory are set to remain here on Earth for quite some time.
ABC's quirky, Jason O'Mara-fronted freshman drama will complete its 17-episode order, with a final entry written to serve as a finale. According to the Hollywood Reporter, viewers will learn why O'Mara's Det. Sam Tyler traveled back in time 35 years and possibly see his return to present day.
The show, which also stars Harvey Keitel, Michael Imperioli and Gretchen Mol, was originally a British series with a limited run. ABC's version, however, was not initially intended for that glorified miniseries status.
Meanwhile, CBS is considering leaping forward in time with its two big, nuance-free comedies. The eye net is considering re-upping Charlie Sheen's Two and a Half Men for another three seasons and Big Bang Theory for another two, per the Reporter.
Men stands as the highest-rated comedy on television, while Big Bang's numbers have increased steadily and considerably since its slow start last year.
