At this rate, Steven Adler may be going from the Sober House to the Big House.
Guns N' Roses' original drummer, before he was booted for drug problems, is back in the police blotter after getting arrested yet again for being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Los Angeles Police Dept. spokesman Sam Park confirmed to E! News that Adler, 44, was collared Jan. 26. The misdemeanor under-the-influence count came after Adler failed to complete a community service requirement from a July bust for narcotics possession.
The headbanger pleaded no contest in November to felony drug-possession charges and was sentenced to court-mandated rehab instead of prison time. However, based on his appearance on the second season of the VH1 reality show Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew and its 2009 successor, Celebrity Rehab Presents Sober House, revealed how far Adler has to go in cleaning up.
For those who missed last month's premiere of Sober House, which chronicles addicts' transition from rehab to a sober-living home, Adler showed up high and in possession of heroin, and could barely stand up because he was so blitzed.
Following his arrest, he was released on $50,000 bail.
A rep for the musician was unavailable for comment. No word yet on a court date.
While he battles his inner demons, Adler is still trying to cash in on that old Guns N' Roses cachet.
He recently formed Adler's Appetite, a tribute band playing all the classic cuts off Guns N' Roses' seminal Appetite for Destruction in honor of the album's 20th anniversary. After playing a gig at the Key Club in Hollywood last week, he and the other members were supposed to take their act on the road this spring. That appears unlikely now after his latest run-in with the law.
