Lindsay Lohan might not have technically split with Samantha Ronson, but the lovers' tiff almost led to Lohan technically violating probation in her DUI case.

While the legging-favoring actress was diverting attention yesterday by shopping with her sister in Malibu, attorney Blair Berk was in Beverly Hills Court attending a progress hearing on Lohan's behalf.

During the hearing it was revealed that the reformed 22-year-old failed to reenroll in her alcohol-education course within the required time frame—a necessity, salivating gossip hounds will be pleased to know, because the actress recently changed her official place of residence from Ronson's to a new address.

"It was just a technicality," Los Angeles Superior Court spokeswoman Vania Stuelp tells E! News. "They have fixed the addresses and paperwork, and there is no violation of probation."

Lohan will not face any fallout from the clerical error, and another hearing has been set for Feb. 5, at which time the actress will be required to show proof of reenrollment.

As for her probation, Lohan has until July 14 to complete her alcohol-education courses.
