Patrick Swayze Clears Pneumonia, Keeps Fighting

Patrick Swayze may recently have been downed by pneumonia, but he's already looking to be out of harm's way.
"I am almost in the clear," the Beast actor told People of his current health condition.
Last Friday the 56-year-old, who is currently battling stage IV pancreatic cancer, checked himself into a hospital after being unable to shake a persistent cough.
"It made me suspect there was a possibility of some kind of infection. I wanted to jump on it before it turned into a problem. As soon as I got home, I called my doctor and then went straight to the hospital and was immediately put on antibiotics."
The medicine apparently did the trick, and the actor is back to fighting form—emphasis on "fighting."
"I am alive and plan on continuing to stay that way."
