Kara DioGuardi: Idol's New Judge Newly Betrothed

Long before her celebrity status takes off on the American Idol rocket tonight, new judge Kara DioGuardi, 38, was already an A-lister in her boyfriend's heart.
The songwriter's other half, teacher turned general contractor Mike McCuddy, 34, popped the question Dec. 8 while the couple vacationed in Mexico, E! News has confirmed.
The groom-to-be has a son from a previous relationship.
No wedding date has been announced.
