Those Christmas Eve engagement reports might have not have been 100 percent accurate, but they may have provided just the nudge Tom Brady needed.
The New England Patriot took a different kind of knee over the weekend, popping the question to Gisele Bündchen.
Although the couple isn't confirming, People reports that Brady posed The Question in Los Angeles on Friday and sealed the deal with a diamond solitaire ring. A formal announcement is forthcoming, the magazine promises, citing an unnamed source.
Last month a flight company insider told E! News that the 31-year-old Brady and 28-year-old Bündchen became betrothed in midair, but both their families quickly issued denials, and there was a glaring lack of left-hand bling on the would-be bride.
While official details remain under wraps, the couple is purportedly debating between a blowout fashionista-studded ceremony in the spring or a more low-key affair in Costa Rica.
Either way, it will mark the first trip down the aisle for both stars, though Brady was infamously engaged once before, to his scorned baby mama, actress Bridget Moynahan.
