• In her Vanity Fair cover storyCate Blanchett has come out against plastic surgery. Her reasoning: "If you grow up in an environment where your mother gets you a boob job when you turn 18, what hope is there?" Also, her husband would divorce her.

• Mickey Rourke’s short but harsh text-message review of Sean Penn’s performance in Milk: “Thought he did an average pretend acting like he was gay besides hes one of the most homophobic people i kno" [sic]. And another feud begins.

• Pete Wentz collected a bunch of year-end best-of lists from famous people including John Mayer, who lists "group youtubing" as one of his favorite '08 activities. He's totally right; that's how you know a party's awesome.

• Joe Jonas will have none of those bras you throw at him onstage.

• Whitney's fake job for The City is getting in the way of people's real jobs. But will it all be in vain? Does anyone plan on watching the show tonight?
