Emmys are right around the corner, and the parties will be in full swing starting this weekend. Here's a taste of where television's biggest stars will be celebrating:

On Saturday, the bashes begin with the BAFTA/LA TV Tea Party. The afternoon soiree, held at the InterContinental Hotel, honors British nominees. Expected celebs include Ricky Gervais, Kristen Bell and Jane Krakowski.

Emmy nom Mary-Louise Parker is also being feted that night by Los Angeles Confidential magazine. The Weeds star graces the cover of the mag this month.

But Sunday is when all the biggest bashes happen...

The Governors Ball, held at the Nokia Theatre immediately after the Emmys, is the first stop for anyone actually attending the awards. The fete features Grey Goose cocktails,  Dove chocolates and free makeup touch-ups.

Entertainment Tonight and People's party also happens downtown at Walt Disney Concert Hall. Billy Idol will perform for partygoers like Hugh Laurie, Tina Fey and Neil Patrick Harris. Guests will dine on Spanish tapas and walk away with a Cole Haan bag stuffed with swag.

In West Hollywood, HBO's art-themed afterparty, featuring a South American art gallery, goes down at the Pacific Design Center. The sit-down dinner, catered by Wolfgang Puck, will have a percussionist on hand in addition to the DJ. Expect castmembers from Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm and other HBO shows...plus some random revelers like Paris Hilton.
