Pushing Daisies Passes Quietly

Pushing Daisies, LEE PACE ABC/DANNY FELD

Wednesday TV's Saddest Story: ABC's last scheduled (for now) episode of Pushing Daisies (4.8 million viewers, per Nielsen estimates) got beat in the 8 p.m. hour in adults 18-49 by, among others, a Univision telenovela. (The canceled show's final episodes will air eventually—ABC just hasn't said when.)

Wednesday TV's Biggest Cause: Recycling. CBS' Victoria Secret Fashion Show hand-me-down scored the CW twice as many viewers—2.4 million—as last week's Stylista rerun in the same time slot.

Other, More Formally Attired Winners: CBS' Criminal Minds (15 million) was tops in total viewers and 18-49-year-olds; NBC's A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa (7.4 million) was nearly a Victoria's Secret-size improvement over the network's last holiday special.

Going in the Wrong Direction: ABC's Private Practice (6.7 million), NBC's Life (5.2 million) and NBC's Law & Order (6.9 million) were down from last week. CBS' Old Christine (7.5 million) and Gary Unmarried (7.5 milion) were off, too, but those shows are on longer leashes.

You're Never Too Old to Appreciate a Fine Set of, um, Lingerie: The Victoria's Secret special performed best among adults 25-54 and adults 50-plus.
