The Curious Case of Brad Pitt's New Commercial
Once upon a time, movie stars were able to sneak away to other countries and shoot silly commercials for big money without anybody ever really knowing about it. But such stealth maneuvering is nearly impossible nowadays, thanks to our trusty BFF, the Internet, which just provided us with Brad Pitt's new, 30-second Japanese TV spot for the cell-phone company, SoftBank Mobile.
Stripped of any dialogue, the actor finds himself relying on his physical comedy skills (who knew?) to land somewhere between Charlie Chaplin and Benny Hill, all while sporting a less-than-flattering yellow, terrycloth outfit.
So, what are your thoughts? Does Brad's minimovie move you to laughter, or is this just the sort of thing that will get his kids picked on at school?
