At this rate, you'd think Chris Martin and his Coldplay crew didn't compose a lick of their own music.
Months after the band Creaky Boards accused the chart-topping, Grammy-beloved Brit rockers of swiping the music for the iPod smash "Viva la Vida," Joe Satriani is joining the fray.
The 52-year-old guitar god says in a lawsuit filed this week in Los Angeles that Coldplay copied "substantial, original portions" of his 2004 track "If I Could Fly." He's looking for a hefty payout and/or an order blocking the band from performing or releasing "Viva la Vida" in the future.
So far Coldplay is mum on the latest accusation of foul play. And no word whether Satriani will take aim at Creaky Boards next.
