Rumor is the Bushes have finally selected their Dallas digs; check it out, it's supposedly in the Preston Hollow section of Dallas, home to electronic and sports millionaires and the like.

Cannot tell you how much the Highland Park snobs are breathing easier, as that's the really snooty hood Laura had been sniffing around earlier. This is more like Brentwood to Beverly Hills, more pretend-homey but still just as rich. However, the house, if it really is the final Bush choice, is hideously close to the neighbors, despite the one-acre-size lot.

Did Laura not feel too safe being alone, secluded away with Dubya in some sort of multiacre manse?

Oh, forgot, he's not even going to be around—remember, the warmongering prez is planning on holing up at the Crawford ranch to work on his "memoirs" (i.e., drinking studies), while Laura gets Dallas and her fancyass Republican friends all to herself.

Even still, the pad's a tad déclassé, certainly for a 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. transplant. Anybody agree with us?
