Brolin, Wright Working on Bar Fight Peace Plan

W. commander in chief Josh Brolin, costar Jeffrey Wright and five other crew members from the Oliver Stone biopic managed to avoid their day in court today amid word that they are seeking to work out some kind of deal for a July bar brawl.
Brolin, Wright and pals were supposed to be arraigned today in Shreveport, La. But a court clerk tells E! News that Shreveport City Judge David Rabb decided to delay the hearing until Jan. 6 to give prosecutors and Ron Miciotto, the attorney representing the W. gang, more time to hash out "a possible resolution" to the highly publicized case.
The case centers on a July 12 fracas at the Stray Cats club following the film's wrap party that saw officers pepper spraying Brolin when he allegedly tried to intervene as one of the crew members was getting busted for public intoxication and resisting arrest.
Brolin was slapped with a misdemeanor charge of interfering with a police officer. Brolin has since said there was no fight and that he and Wright never gave the cops any trouble.
Local news station KTBS quoted one witness saying an officer hurled a racial epithet at Wright, who's black. But authorities have denied the charge and said police on the scene conducted themselves appropriately.
"Hopefully we'll work out something where, at the conclusion of the case, none of them will have criminal records," Miciotto said outside court today.
Prosecutors did not immediately return phone calls seeking comment.
Brolin can currently be seen opposite Sean Penn in the critically acclaimed biopic Milk, while Wright is back as Felix Leiter, CIA pal of Daniel Craig's 007, in Quantum of Solace.
