Rate-a-Trailer: Ford and Penn Crossing Paths?

It's a film about America's melting pot. Just don't expect Harrison Ford and Sean Penn to stir things up—at least in the preview.

The two A-listers are supposedly toplining the Weinstein Co.'s immigrant drama Crossing Over, unspooling early next year. But moviegoers would be hard-pressed to know that by the official trailer just released, which features costars Ashley Judd, Ray Liotta, Alice Braga, and even TV's erstwhile Matt Houston, Lee Horsley—but strangely enough no Penn.

The sneak peek goes to great lengths to hide the Oscar winner, who reportedly plays a prominent role in the story of various immigrants seeking to gain legal status in Los Angeles and the law enforcement types tasked with patrolling the borders.

Is there some twist we're not supposed to know about? Or do the marketeers want to steer clear of Penn's politcal views? Tell us what you think.
