Suge Knight Rapped With Charges in Vegas

Marion "Suge" Knight was charged Tuesday with two felony counts of drug possession and one count of misdemeanor battery stemming from his August arrest for allegedly smacking his girlfriend around on a public street.
The former Death Row Records honcho was busted Aug. 27 in Sin City after police received a call about an out-of-control car on the Vegas Strip and arrived at the scene to find Knight chasing after the alleged victim, Melissa Isaac, and brandishing a knife.
Isaac was treated at a nearby hospital for various injuries (but no stab wounds) and later told police that Knight had repeatedly punched her in the head while he was driving. She managed to grab the wheel in an attempt to escape, running the vehicle into a curb.
According to authorities, Knight was also in possession of Ecstasy and the painkiller hydrocodone at the time. He was taken into custody and released late that night after posting $19,000 bail.
Arraignment has been set for Dec. 16. Knight's lawyer, Richard Schonfeld, said that his camp is planning to "vigorously defend him against these charges."
The deposed mogul is facing up to four years in a Nevada state prison and mandatory probation if convicted of both drug charges, while the battery rap carries a possible six-month stint behind bars.
