Dancing's Cloris Briefly Downed but No Pneumonia

Cloris Leachman, Dancing with the Stars ABC/KELSEY McNEAL

The curse of Dancing With the Stars is apparently so powerful, it even extends to those no longer in the cast.

Cloris Leachman's rep confirms to E! News that the 82-year-old censor-unfriendly actress sought medical attention last Thursday, but that she was not, despite reports to the contrary, diagnosed with pneumonia.

"She had a slight cough and wasn't feeling totally herself, so she went and sought medical attention from her doctor," the publicist said, adding that the not-so-hot-stepper was well enough to attend a private family event over the weekend.

"She is currently at her home, and is expected to tape something for Dancing With the Stars later this week."

You can't keep a good broad down.

As for Leachman's impressive roster of future projects, including reprising her original role in Broadway's Young Frankenstein, a part in Quentin Tarantino's war epic, Inglourious Basterds, and serving as the grand marshal for the 2009 Tournament of Roses festivities, Leachman will press on as planned.

Says Leachmen's rep, "This will have absolutely no effect on any of Cloris' upcoming projects."
