McCartney: Let There Be "Light"

The Beatles' "Carnival of Light" just got one up on Bigfoot and unicorns.
The existence of the 41-year-old, 14-minute experimental track, long believed to be nothing more than the stuff of legend among Beatlemaniacs, has been confirmed by Paul McCartney in a radio interview with BBC's Front Row.
"I like it," he said, adding that he not only has a copy of the mythical track, but would like for it to be released to the public. "It's kind of simplistic, quite naive, but I like it because it's the Beatles free. It's the Beatles going off piste."
The track was recorded back in 1967 and nearly made it on the group's Anthology albums—that is, until George Harrison and Ringo Starr deemed it "rubbish."
"It was vetoed. The guys didn't like the idea."
As for what the tune sounds like?
"All I want you to do is just wander around all the stuff, bang it, shout, play it," he said of his instructions to the group. "It doesn't have to make any sense. Hit a drum then wander on to the piano, hit a few notes, just wander around. That's what we did. And then we put a bit of echo on it. It's very free."
Free maybe, but will Beatlemaniacs buy it?
