It may not be the most respected awards show in Hollywood, but once again the People's Choice Awards boasts the biggest—and most varied—names in showbiz.

Nominations for the 35th annual People's Choice Awards were announced by a fleet of small-screen vets this morning, including Joshua Jackson and Carrie Ann Inaba, and, unsurprisingly, some of the past year's heaviest heavyweights from TV, movies and music were among those scoring nods.

Iron Man, The Dark Knight, Britney Spears, Carrie Underwood, Hugh Laurie, Justin Timberlake, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Steve Carell, Rihanna, Coldplay, Family Guy, Sex and the City, American Idol and even David Letterman are among the disparate nominees for the Jan. 7 show, this year set to be hosted by Queen Latifah.

Doing their best to make this year's ceremony even more inclusive than usual, the brains behind the awards have announced several new categories to be included in this year's congratulatory roundup: Favorite Superhero, Favorite TV Drama Diva, Favorite Movie Cast and Favorite Scene-Stealing Guest Star.

Meanwhile, People magazine, coincidentally also celebrating its 35th year in existence, is teaming up with the People's Choice peeps to present another special award, the first ever People's Choice Award for Favorite Star Under 35, a veritable dumping ground of names for young Hollywood. (Sadly, Suri Cruise did not make the cut...equally shut out in their eligible categories were parents Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.)

Voting for the entirely fan-decided awards show is under way at www.pcavote.com. Balloting continues through Dec. 7.
