Armani Gets Posh to Strip to Her Underwear

Get ready for some more nearly naked Victoria Beckham.

Following in the footsteps of her hunky soccer stud hubby, David, the missus has been named the new face—well, body—of Emporio Armani's underwear line.

Images won’t be released until February, but Armani announced today that the spring/summer 2009 women's campaign was shot by fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

David began modeling the men’s line last year, also in pics by Alas and Piggot. The ads were an immediate success. One report out of Great Britain claimed that U.K. department store Selfridges saw a 50 percent bulge in sales of the line’s white briefs shortly after it was announced that David would be stripping down to his skivvies for the legendary Italian fashion house.

The steamy campaign featured him flexing his underwear-clad physique across a bed and on the beaches of Malibu. The images also provoked major Internet debates on whether his manhood was real or enhanced.

Enhanced or not, we have a feeling Victoria’s ads will be just as provocative.
