Julianne Hough apparently performs as well in front of the judges as she does in the operating room.

The two-time Dancing With the Stars champ is currently recovering like the pro she is after undergoing a sidelining laparoscopic appendectomy Tuesday.

"Julianne has successfully completed surgery in Los Angeles and is at home resting comfortably," reads a message on her official website. "Her family is with her. We wish her a speedy recovery."

Her recovery was confirmed on last night's DWTS results show by her partner, Cody Linley, who announced that Hough's surgery had gone as planned and that she was already in recovery mode.

Brooke Burke, a fellow competitor and partner of Hough's brother, Derek, told E! News at the One Vote Counts: Pledge to Vote event after last night's show that the perky pro is "a trouper" and was already home recovering.

While Hough wrote in a presurgery blog post yesterday that her doctors "say it's three or four days of recovery," the endometriosis-suffering star estimated she would be out of commission "more like a week."

Still, while she may be able to resume working with Linley after a week, she noted she "won't be dancing for two weeks."

Which means fellow pro Edyta Sliwinska will be doubling up on her substitute screen time. The dancer, who along with partner Jeff Ross was the first casualty of the Dancing season, will return in Hough's stead to partner with Linley.

But a quick return to the dance floor isn't the only thing inspiring Hough to get well soon: The budding songstress is slated to perform her current single, "My Hallelujah Song," on the Nov. 11 elimination show.
