Elisabeth Hasselbeck: Don't View Me Like Coulter
They may both lean to the right and share similar dye jobs, but that doesn't mean Elisabeth Hasselbeck wants to be lumped in with caustic conservative Ann Coulter.
On Friday's The View, Elisabeth found herself, as usual, on the defensive, when cohost Joy Behar began joking about how if John McCain loses the election, Sarah Palin will become blond and get a job on Fox News "because they're all blond over there...Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, Elisabeth Hasselbeck."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Please don't put me in the same sentence as Ann Coulter, thank you very much," expressed a clearly disgusted Elisabeth.
Of course, the Fox News-Elisabeth connection stems from recent rumors that the show's lone conservative was jumping ship to join the network. Such speculation had been debunked in statements by both her agent and the executive publicity director of The View, but never publicly by Elisabeth herself. Until this morning.
"Let's clear this up. Are you going anywhere?" asked Whoopi Goldberg.
"I'm not going anywhere, except to get my highlights fixed!" replied Elisabeth. "Look, I love Fox, but I'm staying here...I am not leaving The View. I certainly love my ladies here. I am not going anywhere."
From Elisabeth's mouth to God's ears.
