Dylan, Oasis Can't Catch T.I.'s Trail; Brit's "Womanizer" Scores

For T.I., the Paper Trail keeps leading to No. 1.

In what's been a remarkable month for the Atlanta rapper, his latest album remained on top for a second straight week, burying new releases by Bob Dylan, Oasis, Rise Against and, whether he likes it or not, Tim McGraw.

Paper Trail moved another 177,000 copies for the week ended Sunday, per Nielsen SoundScan, while its lead singles, "Live Your Life" and "Whatever You Like," remained Nos. 1 and 2 on the Hot 100 chart.

But they may not be there for long: Britney Spears' "Womanizer" sold 286,000 downloads to top the Digital Tracks chart and should debut high when the singles chart is released tomorrow.

As for the week's newcomers on the album charts, Rise Against scored a new career high as Appeal to Reason sold 65,000 copies at No. 3. That's seven spots and 17,000 copies better than 2006's The Sufferer and the Witness.

Oasis, meanwhile, reached the top 10 for the first time in 11 years with Dig Out Your Soul selling 53,000 copies at No. 5. As with the band's six previous albums, Dig Out Your Soul topped the U.K. charts.

Dylan cracked the Billboard 200 for the 50th time with his multidisc The Bootleg Series Vol. 8—Tell Tale Signs: Rare and Unreleased, 1989-2006. The album sold 50,000 copies at No. 6, also giving Dylan his 17th top 10 album.

McGraw followed at No. 9, selling 44,000 copies of Greatest Hits 3. The first two volumes were multiplatinum sellers, yet his latest collection comes under fire from the singer himself, who claimed his record label, Curb, was shamelessly shaking down fans with an album that has no new music. "I had no involvement in the creation or presentation of this record," he said.

Closer: The Best of Sarah McLachlan sold nearly 40,000 copies at No. 11.

Other noteworthy new bows include Senses Fail's Life Is Not a Waiting Room at No. 18, Marco Antonio Solis' No Molestar at No. 19, the Pretenders' Break Up the Concrete at No. 32, Tesla's Forever More at No. 33 and the Clash's Live at Shea Stadium at No. 93.

Sales were down nearly 15 percent from last week and 23 percent compared to the same week last year, when Kid Rock's Rock N Roll Jesus—currently at No. 7—first debuted at No. 1.
